AAA Cards #70-Stitching

Hi All

We have a new challenge starting today at AAA cards
We are asking to see 'Clean and Simple' cards using some kind of stitching.
Here is my card:

I can't do hand stitching so had to go with stitched dies. I have very few of these and realise I need to invest in a few more. I have used on this card all the stitched dies I have! I used a rectangle stitched die for the frame and then a heart stitched die. The heart die was cut out of gold paper and I added some glossy accents to make it shine. Love how CAS this turned out and it was made especially for a Golden Wedding Anniversary.

We are sponsored for this challenge by Uniko. The winner will get a £10 gift certificate. And owner and designer of Uniko Bev is joining us as our Guest Designer.

Inkspirational #114

Hi All,

We have our 'word prompt' challenge at Inkspiarional and our word is:

DIP

Here is what I made:

I really was not sure what to create for this and turned to my Thesaurus to help me out. I saw a 'dip in mood' and had a light bulb moment! I chose to interpret 'dip' in this way and went with 'smile'. A smile always cheers us up!

I used a stencil to create the background plus a few gems and just simply went with this CAS-ual Friday sentiment.

I have used this as a Birthday card but it could easily be used to cheer someone up when their mood has dipped a little.

In the end I was pleased with how I interpreted our word. That thesaurus is handy when you are stuck.

Our DT have all come up with some fab cards for this challenge. Take a look here then get inky.

Have fun x

Time Out #62

Time for our 'Home Sweet Home' challenge at Time Out

Here is the card I made:

Here is our photo:

There is so much to be inspired by-the colours, the clocks, the patterns, lamp shades-well you can see it! Actually when I look at the photo again as I write this, it has a vintage feel mixed with modern style-now there is another idea for you!

The heat embossing of the sentiment is not great and I have used a few sequins to hide up how bad it really is. But I loved how bright and cheery this card is and couldn't face throwing it away.
Sometimes I think it is o.k to share our 'not so perfect cards'-I hope you forgive me!

I used a background stamp that Nonni gave me. I just stamped various neon inks on this-inspired by the watercolour picture on the wall of our photo. The turquoise embossed sentiment was inspired by the trays in the picture.

Our Guest Designer this week is my very talented Stephanie, one of my teamies at AAA Cards. Her creativity really is outstanding. Take a look at her blog My Ink Well and you will see what I mean.

Stephanie and our DT have made amazing cards for you all inspired by this photo. Take a look at Time Out Challenges to see them.

Then take some TIME OUT to craft and play along with us.

Enjoy x

AAA Cards #69-Stash Favourite

Hi All,

We have a fab new challenge at AAA Cards for you today. We are asking you to make 'Clean and Simple' cards using your stash favourite.

Here is my card:

I use butterflies quite a lot on my card so do have a few left overs in my stash and here I have used 3. I layered them up. The top one is actually wooden and has been in my stash for a long time now. I embossed the base card to give some texture and then added some clear stickers for the sentiment and the black whirl line. I am amazed how much I like this card. Stickers and wooden elements are not things I would normally use on a card plus I can't remember the last time I used this embossing plate. So I am pleased this challenge.....challenged me to step out of my comfort zone but still make me create a 'CAS' card.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Ksenija. I have been following Ksenija for a long time now and am always amazed by her creativity. Take a look at her blog, Sweet Kobylkin, and you will see what I mean!

The winner will get a $20 gift voucher to spend in their amazing store.

Your turn now to have a hunt through your stash and make a 'Clean and Simple' card.

Inkspirational #113

Hi All,

We have our photo challenge for you this week at Inkspirational. Check out the gorgeous cake photo below! I love the photo and was so tempted to go with the London theme but decided to shock you all and go for another city! So Paris it is:

This is my Anniversary card for my hubby in September. We got engaged in Paris! I just heat embossed the Eiffel Tower using bronze embossing powder. I love the way it looks on the hot pink. I then just embossed the sentiment on vellum and added a few enamel dots.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Jane. Check out her blog here. I am sure you will come away inspired to get inky!

Then pop over to Inkspirational and see what Jane and our lovely DT have created to get you crafting x

Our words are:

"Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine."
Anthony J. D'Angelo

You can use one or more of these words or even the whole phrase. I went with 'sunshine' again.

My card:

I used that snowflake stamp again but as sun rays. This time I stamped it in orange and yellow. I love this sentiment from Verve. This card was given to my hubby a while ago now. I was having a hard time and he really was a comfort to me.

Our Guest Designer Sue is joining us again this week. Her blog foleysfrined will be known by many of you and if not take some time out to visit it and you will be inspired by what you see.

Time Out #61

Hi All,

It is time for our 'Inspired by words' challenge at Time Out Challenges.

Our words are:
(Anthony J. D'Angelo)

You can use any of these words or the whole phrase to create your project. I went with 'sunshine'.

I used a die cut sun with the middle of the sun popped up. I actually coloured the sun with copics. This die was a pressie from my lovely blogging friend Sarah-thank you Sarah. The sun ray stamp is actually a Christmas stamp that so far I have used as snowflakes, fireworks and now sun rays-such a useful stamp!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very creative Sue. I am sure many of you will have seen her blog foleysfriend. It is full of inspiring and fun projects. Take a few minutes to have a browse.

Our DT have all made some amazing cards-take a look here.

Now time to take some TIME OUT and get inky.

AAA cards #68-TAGS

Hello there,

I hope you are all having a fun weekend.

I am here to let you know that we have a new challenge starting at AAA Cards today.

This time we would love to see 'Clean and Simple'

TAGS

Here is what I made:

I struggle with 'tags' and rarely make my own fancy tags for presents. I also rarely make cards with tags on them. So this challenge was a 'challenge' for me!

I simple die cut this tag , added the sentiment and stamped some shoes. Oh how I wish I had all these shoes in pink. I do have all these styles but not all pink-but one pair I have are pink!!

In the end I quite like how this turned out and the card is off to my sister for her Birthday.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the super talented Hannelie. Her blog, Desert Diva, is an absolute delight to visit. I have been following her for as long as I have had a blog and her CAS and graphic cards provide endless inspiration. We are so pleased she is joining us for this challenge.

Happy Little Stampers are our sponsors for this challenge and the winner will get a $20 gift voucher

Picture

Our DT have all created amazing projects to inspire you. Take a look here and then get inky. Please remember to keep it 'Clean and Simple'. I am really looking forward to seeing what you create as I need lots of ideas for 'tags'!!

Most of all-enjoy playing!

Inkspirational #112

Hi All

It is our colour challenge at Inkspirational and our colours are:

Anything goes with Red.

I wanted to try red with pinks and like how this turned out:

I have used a subtle embossed card as a base then die cut a stitched panel for the sentiment. I then stamped and die cut flowers and leaves in pink and red and arranges them around the stitched panel. The leaf die is actually coloured vellum.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Kajcyika. Check out her blog here. Then hop on over to see what our very creative and fun DT have created to inspire you.

Enjoy x
