Time Out #175

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Time Out and this we we have:

So many ways to go with this but I decided to challenge myself to make a quick card-one layer is the easiest and this took less than 6 mins to make:

I have used the stamp set Book and Film from our amazing sponsor Catherine Pooler-fab store full of goodies. The inks I have used for this card are also from there.
The sentiment is from CAS-ual Fridays

So how will you interpret 'quick'???
How about-running, seasons changing so quickly, kids growing up so quick.....Christmas being here again before we even know it!!

Our Design Team have all made amazing cards to inspire you-check them out here

Take some Time Out and join us!

Stars!

 Hi All

I hope you are keeping well x

I have followed the Twofer Challenge since it began and have only entered once. Not because I don't like it but because I find well......a real challenge!! I think my mind goes blank when I see it now and am always amazed by how many of you are so good at this-totally inspiring.

This month they made it a little easier and said we could use the same occasions....so I thought-great I will do 2 Christmas cards-it didn't work out that way...and I finally managed to follow the normal rules!!!

My common item is the Shooting Star Stencil from Funky Fossil Designs

First up  Christmas card:

The sentiment is from the no longer with us 'Verve'-still love their stamps.

Then I made this card....I won't go into details as it took me days and lots of bits in bins....lets just say-I am much happier with stamps and ink!!

Can you see that stencil??

And the 2 together:

So I did it!!

The second one I will also enter into Inkspirational-where they are asking us to 'Frame it'-that little purple frame was in my stash and I love it!

Have a good day my crafty friends xx

Reminder Time Out #174

Hi All

I am here with a reminder of our 'Festival' challenge with the option of adding some shimmer or glitter-I added silver glitter card and heat embossed in silver.

You can go with any Festival and this week I went with Chanukah.

The sentiment here is from CAS-ual Fridays and simply heat embossed in silver.
Blue, white and silver are the main colours for the Jewish Festival of Chanukah which starts on 10th December for 8 nights.
This card is off to a friend who loves to dry emboss the base of cards so I decided to do this just for her! (and sorry you are seeing it early!!)

Our sponsors are Craftangles.

Pop on over to Time Out and see what the DT have made to inspire you!

Enjoy!

I will enter this into:

Time Out #174

Hi Crafty Friends,

Time for our 'Theme' challenge at Time Out and this time we are looking at 'Festivals'.
Any Festivals-if you need to do some more Christmas cards then perfect chance. But there are so many Festivals in all our different cultures so you go ahead and use any Festival you want!

And don't forget with our 'Theme' challenges we have an 'optional' twist and that is 'add shimmer and glitter'

Through card making I have made quite a few friends in India and love to make them cards for Diwali-the Festival of Lights. This year Diwali is for 5 days with the first day on 14th November and you can guarantee there will be plenty of traditional celebrations and all so very colorful!

And here are 2 cards I have made this year

Card 1 didn't use the twist:

Here I have used an Indian background stamp by Erin Lee Creative and dies from Penny Black and the sentiment and small stamp are from Mudra Stamps

And here is another card that is a little different for me but I also used Erin Lee Creative Indian Stamp set-I white heat embossed the background and watercolored in lots of bright colours for the Festival. The sentiment stamp is from our sponsors Craft Tangles.

Card 2 I did-with my gold mirri card:

Can't wait to see what you Festival you choose!

Pop on over to Time Out and see what amazing cards they have made!

Enjoy!

No Matter How You Feel!

 Hi All

As London goes into a 4 week Lockdown as many of you are already living in, I thought this sentiment was perfect for us all!

I have has this sentiment from Visible Images on my desk for a while as I knew I wanted to use it but wasn't sure how. It was the latest sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch that gave me the idea of using it this way with this stencil from Funky Fossils.

Some days it may be too hard to do as the sentiment suggests and that is o.k...it is o.k not to be o.k...allow yourself this as tomorrow is a different day and you can try again then!

Have a good day x

CASology #377

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at CASology.

Here is our cue word:

And my card:

Well I thought this would be easy but no!
I tried out all my ideas and none worked. So in the end I water coloured a sheet of paper in lots of different sunset colours and just left it on the side for a few days....and then suddenly an idea came to me!

I just die cut a cloud from the sheet and one strip to add interest-not a traditional sunset card but I did it!

The sponsors for this challenge are Uniko

Our Guest Designer is Marina. I have known Marina for many years and her blog is a delight to visit-take a look here

Pop on over to CASology to see what the DT have created for you and then join on in!

Warmest Winter Wishes!

 Hi All

I have had this white strip of card on my desk for over a week with this sweet sentiment from STAMplorations. I even had that tiny gem on it. I had stamped it when I had out the first ever STAMPlorations sets but hadn't got as far as entering into the AAA Card Challenge (I went with the 'cosy' option) that I had intentions of doing so.

Yesterday I realised the challenge was nearly done so I quickly made a super CAS card by just adding some green glitter card!

The weather here is awful so it was hard to get a good photo but if you zoom in you will see this lovely 'warm' sentiment!

Have a good day x

Photos inspire!

 Hi Crafty Friends,

I have a bit of a different card for you today.

I have actually water coloured and used embossing

Photo challenges have always been my fav kind of challenge and this card was inspired by 2 of these and in quite a weird way-if you want to know how, read under photo!

First off the photo at Fusion really caught my eye-I loved the swirly purple and the dark surround. I knew I wanted to use water colouring for this but was not sure how.
Then the photo at Inkspirational popped up and so did an idea in my head!
I noticed it also had the dark surround like Fusion but completely different colours. So I decided I would use an Autumn colour with the purple and see where it took me!

And so you have my thinking behind the card!
The image is from Visible Image

Have a good day.

I will also enter it into Just Us Girls
