Time Out Challenge #115

Hi All

A new challenge starts today at Time Out Challenges.

It is our 'Theme' challenge with have the optional twist of making a 'one layer' card!

Our sponsors for this challenge are the wonderful Birch Press Designs

They are offering a $20 gift voucher to their store. We will do a random draw from all those who use of twist of making a 'one layer' card-the winner of this will get the this voucher!

Our Design Team will also choose a winner and we will invite this winner to be a Guest Designer for us in one of our future challenges.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Susie Moore. Her blog is a delight to visit-check it out here-you will love what you see!

I went with the optional twist of making a one layer card and created this:

This is actually a CASE of this card by Jane. As soon as I saw it I knew what I wanted to make. I didn't want to copy it straight out so used some different grunge stamps and sentiment-thanks for the inspiration Jane!

The sentiment is from CAS-ual Fridays and the grunge set was a pressie from my crafty buddy Shauna. Shauna sent it to me saying she thought it would be a great set for making one layer cards-you were right Shauna-thank you so much x

Our Design Team and Susie have all created amazing cards-take a look here and then get crafty!

  1. I really do like your card. I think coffee cards are always so cute!

  2. Thought that you wouldn't be able to resist the onelayertwist :)! It is a perfect and beautiful grungy card again! Hugs, Gerrina

  3. Fantastic one-layer design, Sandie. I love the subtle yellow in your grungy background, and I love those coffee rings. xx

  4. The perfect blend (tee hee ... pun intended!) of colour, grungy images and a fabulous, fun sentiment (that I so agree with!), Sandie ... a brilliant OLC! Hugs, Anita :)

  5. Sweet card, Sandie. And, so much depth and look of texture in a one layer card.

  6. Love the grungy stamps you used! Great layout too, hmmm I think I want to CASE this too! The cream base you chose really fits the coffee-theme. xxx

  7. I love how you layered the stamps - they work so beautifully together! Love the punny sentiment too!

  8. A cool contemporary design!
