Hi All
I am very excited to be the Guest Designer at one of my favourite challenges- CASology this week.
Here is my card for their cue word.
The cue word is:
I was going to go with wine glasses and this set of stamps and dies from My Favorite Things was hunted down. When I was looking through the sentiments on this set, I changed my mind as I hadn't used this sentiment before, so decided to go with a glass bottle instead.
I used a lot of texture here to add more interest to the card. The bottle top and side strip are real cork and one of the enamel dots is wooden. Adding heat embossing also adds texture-the sentiment is heat embossed.
I stamped the sentiment on the bottle label-I found one small enough to fit-from STAMPlorations
Thank you CASology for the honour of being your Guest Designer-pop over to their blog to see what the amazing DT have made to inspire you.
Have a great day x
I will enter this into:
Fusion-Wine O'Clock!-using photo!!
The Library Challenge-Bridget Jones's diary-inspired by the wine glass on the cover and also we all know she liked her red wine!!

Such a clever take on the cue word and on the sentiment you used, Sandie ... what a brilliant idea to use real cork ... it's positively touchable! Congratulations on your GD spot with CASology! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteLove the different textures in this fun card. Thanks so much for being our Guest Designer at CASology this week.
ReplyDeleteSandie!! Your card is fabulous! I love how you incorporated so many cool, textural elements without compromising the perfect CASness of your design. The 'celebrate' sentiment is so perfect on the bottle too. You inspired me to dig out this set this weekend. Thank you for that and for being an amazing GD!
ReplyDeleteFun card, Sandie! Love the cork texture! So glad you could join us as a guest this week!
