Happy Wednesday my crafting chums,
When you have read all about our new challenge at Inkspirational keep on reading and you will see how I got my new look!!
Today at Inkspirational we have this gorgeous photo to inspire you:
I would love some help from you here please........the colour of this ink is 'elderberry' from memento and whatever colour card I stamp it on, it just looks black and not the purple on the front of the pad! Can anyone advice me on a ink pad that the purple is like the purple of the flowers in this photo?

Today at Inkspirational we have this gorgeous photo to inspire you:
I was inspired by the flowers and the colours in this photo. And that includes the colour of the bunny-instead of thinking Easter and bunnies, I thought, Kraft!!
I love this sentiment from Verve. And the flower stamps are from Stampin' Up
Don't forget that if you play along all month with us you will have chance to win $20 gift card from a fab sponsors Inspired by Stamping
Now pop over to our blog here and get some more inspiration from our DT and then get creating. I am so looking forward to seeing what you make x
I am also going to enter this into the following challenges:
Artistic Impressions-flowers
Word Art Wednesday-anything goes with an uplifting sentiment.
Have you noticed my new look?? I really am a London girl now! This is all thanks to Jackie Rockwell who I am sure many of you know from her blogs CAS(E) the sketch and Muse Club. Well now she is offering a custom graphic design service for our blogs. When I read about her new service here I decided to contact her and find out more information. I told Jackie my vision for my blog header and she skillfully and extremely quickly translated this into the header you now see! I love it, she really captured the old style London feel I wanted with the font mixed with the contemporary skyline......makes me love London more! And naturally it had to be purple!! I can really recommend you take a look at Jackie's graphic design blog here, and why not get a new look.....no scalpels or injections needed and all at amazing prices!

Your card is really soft and subtle Sandie, I like the darker shade the elderberry is stamping.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the shout out about my graphic design services! It was a lot of fun working with you!!! :)
Your card is wonderful, Sandie! The flowers feel like they are floating off into the dreams :)
ReplyDeleteIf you find a good purple - let me know! I think this particular shade of purple must be hard to create! Could this look dark to you because you stamped on Kraft - is it still too dark on white? Have you tried stamping off first? I use the stamp-off technique a lot to get the shades I want.
I *love* the new blog look! The header is amazing!
Such a lovely card, Sandie, and what I really like - beautiful yet unfussy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card with lovely flowers. Thanks for joining us this week at WAW.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love your new look! Great card and I think the flowers look fine!
ReplyDeleteBeautyful card, love the "gone with the wind"-feeling that the flowers give me. If I would give you a suggestion on ink choice: Distress Ink "Dusty Concord"... Don't shoot me if you disagree *lol*
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE your new blog look, Sandie!!! Purple is my FAVE and what an amazing header! LOVE! :) Your card even matches! ;) LOVE the CAS feel and your beautiful flower image! The sentiment is really highlighted by those gorgeous blooms! HUGS! :)
ReplyDeletePS: I could tell it was purple...maybe Neon Purple from Hero Arts would be a better match for ink? That's the best I could think of! :) Hope it helps!!!
The purple looks great! (I like Perfect Plum from SU!) I love your beautiful purple flowers on such a lovely CAS card! Your blog looks AMAZING! I love that header, Sandie - way cool! xx
ReplyDeleteFantastic!!!! I have the same in pad and look purple to me. But then at my age...
ReplyDeleteNo matter, the card is GGREAT!
hugs
Hi Sandie
ReplyDeleteThe great thing is...it looks purple in the photo, even if it doesn't in real life. I love the effect of the flowers drifting across the card and the lovely sentiment.
New blog look is great. I lived in London myself for many years and still work there. It's a great city.

Such a classy, clean design! Well done!
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun Sandie! I like that you used a kraft base and that sentiment is fabulous! Great take on the photo!

What a lovely card Sandie! I can't help on the ink. I just bought two from Papertrey Ink. One is way too dark like you said almost black and the other is supposed to be lavender but it's more of a mauve. GOOD LUCK ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card Sandie - an inspired idea to bring in the colour of the bunny by stamping on Kraft! Beautiful sentiment too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous new look for your blog - I LOVE it and I think it really suits your CAS style!
Re the purple of the flowers in the inspiration photo, I would suggest VersaColor Heliotrope as a possible match. It's a pigment ink so would be great for your new addiction to heat embossing! VersaColor inks come in full size pads or small cubes so you could try a little one first.

Beautiful card Sandie! I think the use of Kraft was an inspiration! I too love that sentiment, but I cannot help you with the ink color. I did notice your new banner and it is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteSandie,
ReplyDeleteYour new header is really splendid. I like the way the letters have spots missing. Your card is really a beauty.
I am so thankful to finally have a computer even tho’ it has Windows 8 and a bilingual keyboard. It has been a very long three weeks and I have missed seeing all your beautiful work.
God Bless you and yours,
