Hi All,
My Goddaughter had her first baby last week and yesterday I made a card for her. I find making baby cards so hard. I am not good with cute images and hardly have any new baby stamps. However blog land to the rescue. A number of you and some challenges helped me create this:

My Goddaughter had her first baby last week and yesterday I made a card for her. I find making baby cards so hard. I am not good with cute images and hardly have any new baby stamps. However blog land to the rescue. A number of you and some challenges helped me create this:
:
All these stamps are from Uniko
Here is where the inspiration came from:
Ksenija's Chasing Mojo fun-I loved the lay out and stitching on Aapba's card here-I used an embossed line instead of stitching. My line has a curly top which I thought could look like the ducks were on water. I substituted the feathers for ducks but kept the sentiment at the top.
Esther's new home card here-at the 'New Beginnings' challenge at Less is More, gave me the idea to heat emboss, in white, one duck. For this I used scrap card I had previously water coloured.
This card was a challenge but I did have fun making it.
I will also enter this into:
Uniko-AG with optional twist of love-I am going with the twist as there is nothing like the love of Parents for their kids.
Love this, Sandie! The yellow really pops and the row of cute ducks is fab for a baby card. Have you entered it in to the New Beginnings challenge at Less is More?
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable, fab yellow you've chosen - really eyecatching

ReplyDeleteThe embossed border make the perfect waves for your sweet ducks. I seem to always be late with my baby cards for some reason, but this time I'm about 3 months ahead. For once:)

I'm not into making baby cards, either, Sandie and hardly own any stamps suitable for baby cards!!!! Maybe it's because I'm way past the age for having babies!!!!! LOL!!!!

Have a great day!!!!
