Addicted to CAS Challenge #24

Today our hostess at Addicted to CAS is the super talented Christine. She has chosen as her code word 'Transparent'

This was a challenge for me! However, after blog hopping and visiting Pinterest a few times I eventually came up with this:

I have used CAS-ual Friday stamps plus a few stickers I found in my stash. I do love how this turned out. I got the idea for the transparent front after seeing this card from Anita. And I loved this card from Lynn and that inspired my design. If you are stuck with a challenge just have a little hunt around blogland and inspiration will soon come (well, not always!)

Inkspirational Challenge #41

Happy Saturday my friends,

I have used some Simon Says Stamps and dies mixed up a few stamps from PTI 'grunge' stamps. I made this card for my hubby as he has had to look after me quite a lot over the last week and I thought this might go some way to showing him how much this means to me. I popped it into his brief case along with his lunch so he would get a nice lunchtime surprise!

New toys!

Good Morning stamping friends,

Today I am sharing a card with you that I made using stamps I won a few weeks ago at Shery's fortnightly challenge site here. This week there is a sketch challenge and I have based my card on the sketch but stripped it down to suit my CAS style and I think it works. I did try another version but that ended up bin-there was too much 'stuff' on it for me!

This is a  Stamplorations stamp and it really stamped so beautifully I felt all I needed to do was add the star and a few gems to follow the sketch. I actually started thinking about using this stamp when I saw this photo from Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge

Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #66-Anything Goes!

I got some new CAS-ual Friday Stamps this week and was itching to use them and when I saw the sketch this week at CAS(E) this Sketch I just new exactly how I wanted to use them. And here we are:

I wanted to add green gems to the pink sentiment but didn't have enough, then remembered someone in blogland saying that you can just colour white gems-so out came my promarkers and copics until I got the right shade I wanted.

Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #65

My second post in almost as many hours! But this time I am posting my card for our photo challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More. Our photo this week is bursting with inspiration.......take a look:

Isn't it just fabulous! There is so much you could take from this-the colours, the variety of fruit, flowers, leaves and so much more.

I had to go with the Autumn theme and went directly to my 'Autumn Flowers stamps by Clearly Besotted Stamps.

I masked off an area using post it notes and blended various inks to give this Autumn glow. I then stamped the leaves in brown and added the gorgeous sentiment from Verve. And used my linen impression plate to give my card texture.

Inkspirational Challenge #40

Its time for our new challenge at Inkspirational. We have a colour challenge with a couple of twists for you this week!

First off, here are the colours:

Twist 1

You can use all of these colours or just 2! And remember you can also use neutrals along with these colours.

Twist 2

From our next challenge we are going fortnightly. This challenge will close at midnight (GMT) on Friday 11th October and challenge 41 will start at 6am (GMT) Saturday 12th and run for 2 weeks.

We also have some more changes happening at Inkspirational. But before I tell you about them here is my card using these colours. I used all three (to be honest, I forgot I could use just 2!)

I masked off the cityscape so I had just a small section of the whole stamp and then heat embossed it with the gorgeous raspberry colour.

O.K now for our other changes.........we are very sad to be losing Mynnette, Ellen and Ruth however we are super excited to be welcoming the very talented Nonni to our DT. Nonni is a fabulous crafter and an expert in colouring using copics and most of all, she is a very dear friend! I am so pleased she is now on our DT!

As I have just got back hols I have seen Fresh Squeezed Stamps is turning one this week and having a Birthday bash. I had to enter as most of you know I love their stamps and as this card uses my favourite set I am entering it into the fun!

A brand new Xmas Card Challenge for you!

Today I am very excited to introduce to you a new fun Christmas Card  Challenge. This challenge is being run by my very dear Finnish friend Nonni and it is called:

''Lets Get Inky-Stamp a Happy Christmas"

This challenge is all about using stamping on your card. All styles of cards are welcome and embossing, embellishments and designer papers can all be used on your card but we want the stamping to be the star! You can enter this challenge as many times as you like, combine it with as many other challenges as you want. The winner will be chosen by random and we are very lucky that Shery, one of Nonni's DT, is sponsoring us. Shery owns the fabulous stamp company Stamplorations and there is a stamp set from Stamplorations for the winner! Thank you Shery. 

I decided to go with non traditional Xmas colours and a non traditional stamp. I used glitter card stock so not all Xmas traditions are lost!!

I do love this 'kiss' stamp and the sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays just seemed the perfect match after I used used a little masking it get the colour mix.
