Awareness of Mental Heath Hop

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have a hop today to raise awareness of Mental Health.
A very important issue and especially at this time when all our life's have changed so much.
We all need to be aware of our own mental health and those around us.
So we are here in Blogland and on Instagram doing a hop for this-plenty of prizes to be won.
Find all details at how this hop works on the Creative Twins blog and on their instagram account @crafty_sistahs.

Here is my card and you will see underneath the reason why I made this:

I know many will say that crafting is the primary thing that helps them with keeping their mental health positive. For me walking in nature is what I love most and helps me stay grounded and relieves any stress or worries...it doesn't make them go but certainly brings me back into the moment! I like to look at the leaves-the different colours and shapes and how they change with seasons and love to listen to the bird song. I call it my 'mediation walk'.

I tired to show this in my card. Making the background in nature colours with brushos (I actually made this in Spring so perhaps now the colours would be different!) Then I simply die cut a leaf, embossed it with polka dots. And added what I feel is the perfect sentiment for us all!

Now hop on over to the wonderfully creative Varda Sharma @varadasharma and her blog Varda.

To win one of our fab prizes here is what you need to do:

Rules to participate in giveaway:
1. Leave a comment on each stop.
2. Mention your country as few prizes may have shipping restrictions.
Commenting closes on 20 October 4:30pm GMT and winners will be announced on 25 October.
*Winners will be chosen from comments left across all the stops on the hop.
*Open internationally.

Enjoy!

  1. Love this card, Sandie, and also your story of how you relax in nature. I am always in awe of backgrounds people make with Brushos. Each one is always so unique. I'm glad I stopped by here, because I also learned about the hop for such a good cause.

  5. Those colours in your background are just as they are here at the moment, Sandie ... soft greens that are only now starting to be tinged with warm yellow ... the white leafy sprig really pops against them! A calm, serene design that wonderfully captures the sense of your walks in nature! Hugs, Anita :)

  9. Your card is very evocative of your mediation nature walks, Sandie! Well done! I especially love trees and leaves, too. I marvel at how each one is different, like snowflakes, and like people! Some are beautiful and full of color and life, like you, some are not so beautiful, like politicians and diseases. Goodness, I'm waxing poetic so off I go! Keep well and take care! Huge hugs, Darnell
