It is all about you!

Hello my friends,

I hope your week has started well. I am just popping in quickly to share a card that I made for CAS(E) this Sketch. I actually made it a few days ago but wasn't sure I really liked it. I had decided not to share it but then after looking at it again today I thought I would post it as we can't always love every card we make and someone out there might like it!
I am afraid the photo isn't so good with that nasty shadow but I have been spending all weekend getting used to a new laptop and photo editing software. This photo is a result of my learning process!

It was Heather's take on the sketch here that inspired me to play along. I masked off an area and did some distress ink sponging and then stamped these flowers and went for neon blue as I wanted a really bright contrast to the soft pinks and blue in the sponged area.

And remember.....some part of today has to be about you!

I will enter this into the following challenges:
Amuse Challenges -sponging
Dream Valley Challenges-Mothering Sunday

  1. Love the design and colours, Sandie! Great take on the sketch!

  2. Oh, this is gorgeous! Fabulous take on the sketch!

  3. There's such a fantastic soft whispiness to your design, Sandie ... love how the dandelion seed heads look as though they're floating across the card! Anita :)

  4. Your photo is crisp and clean! Love the masking and of course the scrumptious linen impression plate. I really like it!

  5. I think it looks fab but I'm the same - if I don't really like what I've done it never really grows on me!

  6. I know the feeling, but I was surprised to learn that this was a card you weren't totally happy with. I think your card has a great layout and I love the pop of color from the turquoise flowers. I think this card looks fantastic, Sandie!

  7. Sandie, I second all the others: your card is lovely! The dandelions are so eye-catching with their colourful 'wisps,' and the background panel is striking! My view: pretty+++++

  8. I've never seen you use these stamps before -they are gorgeous!! I love the blue ink too and this is a fab sketch.

  9. Why don't you like it?! Trust me, it's gorgeous!
    hugs, Asha

  10. I'm glad you posted it Sandie because I think it's really beautiful! Hugs D

  11. Are you crazy? You're not sure you like it - I love it. The placement of the flowers is perfect and I love the way the blue/turquoise stamds out.

  12. This is exquisite. Such beautiful stamping and the bg. Love this, Sandie!
Thank you so much for visiting me and for your sweet words. It means a lot as I really admire your work.
