Inkspirational #98

A very Happy Saturday my crafty friends,

Here at Inkspirational we have a fun challenge for you and we are calling it our 'Bah Humbug' challenge! This basically means you can create any kind of project BUT not Christmas projects! How refreshing!!

Here is what I made (and yes I really did make this!!)

My Mum and Dad are golf addicts and my Mum wanted a golfing Birthday card for her friend. I bought this stamp especially for this. Now this card stretched me to my limits. It took me hours to colour and once I had coloured it I had no idea what to do next. I hunted for some DSP and eventually found some that I thought matched the colours of her outfit with. Just to add some sparkle her whole outfit it covered with WOS so it glitters-even golfers need to sparkle on the course! So for a CAS lover this sure was a challenge and I really hope Mum's friend likes it-she will never know how many hours it took to make.

Our Guest Designer this week is the very talented Shirley. Her blog Shirley-Bee's Stamping Stuff is well worth a browse.

It will be fun to see what 'Bah Humbug' projects our DT have made...why not pop over to our blog here with me now and lets have a look.

  1. This is so very different for your usual style, and even though it took you hours to make, which is usually the case when trying something different, I think you were very successful in achieving a fun, colorful card that suits the receiver perfectly!
Sorry I haven't been around much lately, I've been busy with birthdays, Christmas events and preparations. But I'll try and catch up as much as possible in the coming days. On my way to a new hairdressers appointment and another birthday party:)

  9. Yes, it is different to your usual style but I think it's great that you took the trouble to make it personal to your mum's friend. I think hunting down the pp was good as it goes perfectly with her outfit.

  12. Wonderful card, Sandie! Yes, it's a bit of a departure from your usual style but I think it's still fairly CAS. Your coloring looks great too! Sorry it has taken me so long to stop by! It's that crazy time of year, ya know! :-) Merry Christmas!

  17. This is so adorable. Wonderful job of coloring and also of stretching yourself out of your comfort zone. No one but a fellow card maker can ever appreciate how long things take, I think, but I'm sure your mom's friend will see the love and care you put into her card.

  18. I have to admit, I did get a shock when I saw this card. Not because its awful or anything but because its not your usual style!! The image is so perfect for a lover of golf and I think you did a fantastic job with the colouring and layout. Maybe you should do more image colouring this year....
