We have a new challenge for you at Addicted to Stamps and More. This week we are asking you to be inspired by this photo:
There is really so much here to inspire you but my eyes just kept returning to the chevron pattern on the straws. I really wanted my brain to go with rainbows but nope it wanted chevrons so this is what I made:
I masked off the side panel of my card and used the tiny chevron stamp from this chevron set from Uniko Studio.
I just used a subtle patterned paper to cover the rest of my card and embossed the sentiment in orange and popped up the blue panel to add dimension. I think this will be used for a masculine Birthday card.
Check out what our DT have created to inspire you here and then join in the fun!
I will enter this into the 'masculine' challenge at Just Us Girls
I will enter the enamel dot challenge at The House of Cards
Love this CAS design Sandie. Great colours! xx

ReplyDeleteWonderful take on the photo, Sandie! I was drawn to the orange on the straws, but went with triangles (I have chevrons somewhere...I think!). So incredibly pretty...you signature CAS style shines once again!

ReplyDeleteThe straws were what caught my attention too, I've got some straws like this in my stash, just not this color. You recreated them perfectly for a clean card. And it works for any person of any age, I love that about a card!
ReplyDeleteI don't enter photo challenges very often, when I do I often struggle. I can't seem to able to focus on just one thing, or I get hooked up in the wrong details leaving me clueless. But I might give it a go with this one...
CAS an a wonderful punch of color! Thanks for playing along with us at Just Us Girls!
