Hi All,
I had hoped this year to make a few cards Christmas cards each month but so far I have made only one and this is my second. I am very behind my target but I do find it hard to get inspired when the big day seems so far away!
However this week I really liked the colour combo at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown and wanted to play along. I also loved the 'splatter' challenge at Just Us Girls. I had the idea of combining splatters and snowflakes to create this card:
I made it one layer so I could join in the challenge at One Layer Christmas Cards-twist of circles-my splatters are circles-right?
I will also enter the following challenges:

Sandie - this is fabulous! I love the soft flurry of snowflakes and the spatter pattern too. And that bold silver sentiment is just fab. Thanks so much for playing along with 52CCT this week! Hope to see you again soon - you'll build your stash quickly!!

ReplyDeleteGreat combo! And that's why I start after the summer holidays; that way I make enough and am a little bit in the spirit! Hugs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteWho knew splatters and snowflakes would look so amazing together?! Fabulous card! Thanks for joining us at Just Us Girls!
ReplyDeleteAwesome card, Sandie! Love the splatters and your silver embossed sentiment. So glad you could join us over at OLCCC! :-)
ReplyDeleteTwo cards, that's more than some. I'm sure you'll get into the right spirit as the season approaches. The good thing about making Christmas cards all year round is that we seem to take inspiration from the season we are in, like this springlike pink and blue which actually looks perfect and feels very Christmasy in spite of the non traditional colors.
ReplyDeleteOh, please, no more snow! But, I do love your softly colored card. It has such flow and movement! Great splatters, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us the week at Just Us Girls!
No snow--well only on cards for another year. Love this!
ReplyDeleteThe mix of splatters and snowflakes is awesome, and the bold embossed sentiment looks great over top of them. Thanks for sharing your card with us at 52CCT! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the soft colors :)
ReplyDeleteSplatters are circles that have slightly melted, so I think they totally fit in the challenge!! I had hoped to have made a few more too, oh well. This one is perfection!
ReplyDeleteHow do you splatter so well?! When I attempted this, it looked like I coughed up something. Yours are perfect well behaved splats. Amazing!
ReplyDeletehugs, Asha
