Welcome to our new challenge at Inkspirational. This week it is the turn of the very talented Yvonne to choose the challenge. Yvonne had gone with:
She Art and/or image of a woman.
I didn't know what She Art was so googled it and found that is often mixed media containing an uplifting comment and often an image of a woman. If you don't want to do She Art you can choose to include any image of a woman in your project.
Here is what I came up with:
She Art and/or image of a woman.
I didn't know what She Art was so googled it and found that is often mixed media containing an uplifting comment and often an image of a woman. If you don't want to do She Art you can choose to include any image of a woman in your project.
Here is what I came up with:
I did a CAS mixed media card using water colouring, embossing and dimension. I thought this sentiment covered the 'uplifting' part of 'She Art'.
I did find this a real challenge but after thinking about it for a few days and looking through my sentiment stamps I created this. It is good to step outside your comfort zone now and then. The challenge was out of my comfort zone but I still seem to have adapted it to my much loved CAS style!
We are very pleased that this week our Guest Designer is Lyndal. Her blog Ideas and Paper is well worth a visit-you will come away inspired!
Our DT have all taken a different path with this. Take a look here and then go be challenges and have a go!
I will also enter this into:
great CAS card
ReplyDeleteAwesome card, Sandie. The sentiment is perfect for this challenge. I'm loving your watercolour cards lately! :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks great how you managed to keep it CAS and She Art! Didný know what that was aswell... :)
ReplyDeleteA way out of your comfortzone often means new ideas for further projects with me; hope you have expierienced the same? Enjoy the weekend, Gerrina
Sandie, your uplifting message card, with the water-coloured background, was MY muse for this challenge! Thank you for the inspiration; without it, I'd likely still be trying to figure out a woman image!

Wow, the theme sure is a challenge for me as well! I had to google it too. I love the style but have no idea even where to begin. I think you succeeded with your card, stepping out of the comfort zone but still staying true to your own style.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job with this! You made it your own and it looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGreat job with the challenge Sandie! It was definitely a tough one. I really like your mixed color "splash" and the sentiment is great for the challenge!
