Hi There,
Time for a new challenge at AAA Cards
This time our challenge is to make a 'Clean and Simple' card using:
'A new to you technique'
I chose using brushos. I know these have been around for a while now but I had not given them a try until Kylie came to visit me in July. She taught me how to use them and I have been having fun since then. Here is my card:
I cut the butterfly panel from a card with a mix of brushos on and then the blue background is also made using brushos. I simply layered this onto a black frame and done!
I ended up taking this photo with a black background but on reflection this was not such a good idea but too late it is been posted!
Our sponsors this week are the fabulous Stampendous
Our Guest Designer is the very creative Alexandra-we are so pleased to have her join us.
So what new technique will you try?
I am looking forward to seeing your cards and remember to keep them Clean and Simple-my fav!!
I will enter this into this into Darnell's NBUS challenge #7-both the frames and butterfly have never been used before.
Stunning - you really get on well with the Brushos.
ReplyDeleteI love brusho and think your card is absolutely wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWell, you look like a Brusho professional! I LOVE the colours you used - isn't that die awesome too? Hope you are having fun with your goodies xx
ReplyDeleteBrushos are so much fun - a card Jill (Vickers) did last year for AAA inspired me to try them and they are so fun. Felt like a kid using them :). I love your card, I am a huge fan of butterflies (I think I can tell you are too) and I love how yours pops against the black. Super.
ReplyDeleteThe brusho colours look super! Love how eyecatching and bright this card is! Enjoy your sunday!
ReplyDeleteThe colors are so rich and stunning! Gorgeous Sandie.
ReplyDeleteI think I had my brushos for like 6 months before I really had fun playing with them. A combo of not quite knowing what to do with them and not achieving the result I felt others acquired. Now I so enjoy them. Your card has a beautiful blend of colors.
ReplyDeleteSo striking Sandie! Love those vivid brusho colours.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Sandie ... those saturated brusho colours on that lovely butterfly are so vibrant ... they pop so beautifully against the black! Hugs, Anita :)
