Inkspirational #115

Hi There,

This week at Inkspirational we have our Designer's choice challenge. The very talented Shauna has challenged us to use patterned paper on our projects with the option of stamping on the patterned paper.

I came up with this:

As most of you will know I rarely use patterned paper so this was a real challenge for me! After thinking for a long time I came up with the idea of using my London tube paper and actually went with the option. I stamped the paper with versa marker and clear embossed this London city scape. I fussy cut this-another thing I rarely do. I popped up this stitched frame after stamping the background with London themed stamps using the colours of our tube lines. Then just lay the city scape across this.

I know I don't often go into detail of how I make my cards but I wanted to with this one as it was so different for me, took long hours of thinking about, a long time to make and a super hard challenge for me. However it was fun to do this. So thank you Shauna for this challenge and here is a warning to you.........I am going to think of a super CAS related challenge for you when it is my turn!

Our Guest Designer is the very creative and inspiring Kathy. Take a look at her blog here and you will see what I mean.

Then pop over to Inkspirational to see what Kathy and the DT have made to inspire you to join in the fun.

  10. How different we are. A challenge to use patterned papers is no challenge to me. But to go CAS as per your normal style is. You got there in the end, your hard work really paid off!

  15. What a fab idea to use a piece of the tube paper for this card! It can't get more "London" style than this :)
I too often find it hard to use patterned paper, but are getting better and better at it.
