Hello,
When I saw the 'Abstract' challenge at CASology, I knew I had to play along. I love abstract art and had a go at creating my own version, helped along by a few other challenges.
I used the following challenges to help me create this card and will enter them all
Freshly Made Sketches-gave me my design.
Less is More-Monochrome-gave me the idea of using just purples, even down to the base card.
AAA Cards-ombre-gave me the idea of using the changing purples.
I used 3 different purple shade inks from Catherine Pooler. I just roughly inked them onto this grunge stamp. Then I used a sizzix die to cut out this splatter. I then cut out the same splatter die in purple fun foam . Layered the ombre card splatter on top of the foam offsetting it so it looks like a shadow. A few different shades of purple enamel dots to finish this off and here you have my version of an 'abstract arty' card!
This was a really fun card to make and came out exactly as I had it in my head....that doesn't happen often!
Have a fun day x
