I used a stencil!

Most of you know I am not so good a using stencils but I have here!

I used one from Funky Fossil Designs. I was having a go and it didn't go that great but not too bad. So I decided to die cut part of it and thought it looked quite good like this.

Time Out #145

Hi All

Time for our yearly special challenge at Time Out Challenge where we are helping raise awareness of Breast Cancer. October is 'Breast Cancer Awareness' month so what better time for this challenge.

Breast Cancer has touched most of us in some way-either ourselves or Family and Friends-we all have our own stories. Early detection is the key and we should all be doing self breast cancer tests monthly-check here for how to do this-then tell your friends to do the same!

As 'Pink' is the colour to represent Breast Cancer, I made this card:

Inkspirational #196

Hi There,

Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational

We have our Designer's choice and today Shauna has chosen the 'paper piercing' technique.

You can use any type of paper piercing-traditional, sewing etc. Here I used an embossed panel that pierced the paper for me!

That gorgeous embossed background was a gift from the lovely Joyce and when I saw it I knew it had to be used this year!

Hello my friends,

Now for our challenge-our photo challenge!

Here is what I made:

And here is the photo that inspired my card:

I was inspired by the black and white stripes and picked out the tiny bits of green and pink-if you look closely at the photo you will see a hand ornament and a pale pink face on one of the photos! I leaf die is  Memory Box Stitched Maple Circle Frame from our sponsors the fabulous Poppy Stamps. I added lots of sparkle to the leaf!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the amazing Hannelie. I am sure so many of you know her and I am a long time fan! I adore her creativity and I am delighted she is joining us for this challenge-welcome Hannelie

Hi All

We have our word prompt at Inkspirational and this time the word is:

CROP

Here is what I made:

I took the word 'crop' to be harvesting grapes to make wine!!

Sentiment and bottle die from My Favorite Things

Yes, I know the sentiment is a bit blurry but I decided to leave it this way! Yes it wasn't meant to be like this but it amused me-isn't this the way you see things after 'barrels of wine'!!

Creativity out of Chaos!

Hi Crafty Friends!

Today I made this card inspired by a few challenges:

I white heat embossed the image from Visible Image (sentiment from same set) and then water coloured this in purple. I used a stamp set from PaperArtsy in pink to add the splatters mixed in with a few paint splashes.

This was inspired by all these challenges-they just all fell into place!

Christmas Angel!

Hi All

A card today inspired by the  'metallics' challenge at Less is More 

I used the new set Folksy Christmas from Funky Fossil Designs.

The Angel is gold embossed onto the die from STAMPlorations. I then used this gold metallic card to cut another die from this set.

I did play around with adding in a sentiment but it seemed too much, so decided to leave it as it is.

I will also enter into 

Craftyhazelnuts Christmas Challenge.
