Fusion-All Hallows Eve

I am back again today but this time with our new challenge at Fusion.

We have both a photo and sketch for you. Choose either one or fuse the 2!

Here they are:

Here is my take:

I found this a tough one. The sketch seemed too layered for me and the photo I love but I didn't want to make a Halloween card. I zoomed in on the photo quite a few times and decided to go with the framed photo on the mantle piece-the one with the tree in the centre. I even zoomed close enough in so I could see the colours on the tree and used the exact ones on my version. I finished off my sponging some sky. I did keep to the classic orange and black of Halloween.

Our DT have come up with some fabulous designs. Take a look here. Then time to get inky and join in. You have until 27th Oct Noon (PST) to join in.

Enjoy!

  1. Love how you focussed on the framed tree Sandie - and that you placed it at the bottom of your card - great design on this! Julia xx

  2. Sweet card, Sandie. I do love how you've framed your focal point against the black and bit of orange. That tree is just beautiful. Lovely Fall card. Bev

  4. Love the way you colored around that tree. And, such a great idea to narrow in on one aspect of the inspiration photo. I am going to keep that tip in mind when I am next presented with a challenging photo inspiration.

  5. I'd probably go with the sketch, you know me. But kind of impressed you saw the detail of the framed photo in the photo, because it actually is a great layout idea for a CAS card. But you chose to follow the tree and its colors. And that's what I have to learn from you about photo challenges, not going all over the place but fix on one detail.

  14. I'm not halloweeny either, Sandie ... you found such a wonderful part of the inspiration photo to focus on! Your tree is beautiful ... love how the colours cascade down it and onto those tumbling leaves ... and it's so dramatic against the black base with touch of orange! Hugs, Anita :)
