We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational. This time it is our photo challenge.
Here is the card I made:
And here is our photo:
I was going to do a travel themed card but kept looking at the teddy and just wanted to pick him up and give him a hug. So I went with this idea. I got the brushos out and made the background by mixing a few colours. The 'hugs' die is also cut from a scrap piece of brusho and layered on a few back dies. I wanted to black to provide contrast with the citrus colours.
Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Linda, check out her blog here. We are so pleased that Linda is playing along with us.
Our DT and Linda have all made amazing cards. Take a look here and then get inky and join in the fun x
I will enter this into
Addicted to Stamps and More-photo-I got the turquoise of the duvet for the sentiment and the yellow and green of the back wall (can you believe I missed the purple!)
Love the sweet little teddy! You are rocking the brushos!
ReplyDeleteImpressive and cool background you have created. And totally love the huge "Hugs" with the black shadow effect!
ReplyDeleteI love the big and bold "hugs" sentiment over the soft background. Thanks so much for sharing this lovely card with us at ATSM blog. Please join us again soon.

Great interpretation - that big 'hugs' would be great to receive if you were feeling down.

I'm starting to use my brushos more and more so I'm going to add more colors to my collection. I've used them more for coloring and splatters than making my own paper, like you did, looks beautiful. Nice shadowing effect of the die cut hugs sentiment.
ReplyDeleteBeutiful card, the Hugs sentiment, really goes with our photo inspiration, the bedroom huggy mood:) Thank you very much for joining us at the Addicted to Stamps and More!

That die is beautiful, really a great sentiment die! I'm enjoying seeing you get messy and inky making your own backgrounds, they have all turned out fabulous! Wonderful card!
ReplyDeleteStunning background, and your oversized die cut sentiment says it all. Perfect card for that photo--you really captured the emotion.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty watercolour look! Thanks for joining in the ATSM challenge his week!
