Time Out Challenges #60

Hi All,

I am at this very minute on the way to Greece for my holiday and so for the next 2 weeks I have only my scheduled DT posts going out. I am hoping looking forward to some sun and pure relaxation. I am hoping the wifi will work where we are going so I can still come visit you now and then but if I am quiet you know why!

Time for a new challenge at Time Out.

It is our CASE (copy and share everything) challenge. This time we are very happy that we are CASEing the very talented and inspiring Therese. Her blog, Lost in Paper, is known by many of you but if not pop on over there and you will come back full of creativity.

Here is the card I made CASEing Therese's card.

I took my main inspiration from her subtle use of vellum. I liked the pattern on her vellum strip and used a score line very similar to this. I then used her flowers and colours as my next inspiration but again used vellum for these, colouring the backside of the vellum. This flower and sentiment is from the Doodled Flower set-Happy Little Stampers

Here is Therese's wonderful card:

Plenty here for you to allow your creativity bloom.

Our Guest Designer this week is the very talented Birgit. Her blog is a delight to visit-pop on over to Crafting While I Wait, and you will see what I mean.

This challenge is for one week only and closes at next Wed 6th July at 5pm BST-so get crafting my friends. I can't wait to see what you create.

Enjoy!

AAA Cards #67 Googley Eyes

Hi All,

Time for a new challenge at AAA cards. We have gone with:

'Googly Eyes'

Here is my 'Clean and Simple' card:

This was a tough one for me as I don't really have anything cute in my stash as I wouldn't use this sort of thing normally. However teamie Sarah came to my rescue and sent me a little bag to play with-thank you Sarah. I surprised myself and had a lot of fun making this. I think I was lucky to find a sentiment that the eyes fitted and using the googly eyes like I usually do with sequins or enamel dots gave me a giggle anyway! I think this card might go to hubby as he really likes CAS cards, he is totally cool for putting up with me and this will make him smile!

The super talented and creative Patti is our Guest Designer for this challenge. Her blog, Stationery Styles is a joy to visit.

Our sponsors for this challenge are Stampendous and the winner will get a $20 gift voucher.

Stampendous

Remember to keep your card 'Clean and Simple' and aslo to have have lots of fun!

Pop over to AAA cards and see what Patti and the DT have created to inspire you x

A last minute make!

Hi There,

I have been wanting to enter all week the 'splatters' challenge at Less is More. I made a card earlier in the week for it but hadn't realised it was one layer so here I am at the last minute with an entry that was actually inspired by 2 other challenges I saw today. I apologise for the photo but it is past 6pm in a dull London and as the challenge closes in a few hours and this card has just been made...dull skies it had to be!

It was the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch that inspired this layout and the colours are inspired by the photo challenge that come out today at Uniko-I picked out the yellow, pink, blue and grey from the photo.

The flower and splatter stamps are from Visable Images and the sentiment from Uniko.

I have been sending out a few 'just because' cards recently and have run out, so I need to stock up and this one is perfect for this.

I hope you all have a fun and relaxing weekend x

Vellum Splatter Butterfly.

Hi All,

I hope your week is going well.

I had an idea for the 'splatter' challenge at LIM, made this card and then realised it was a supposed to be a one layer card. Never mind I still like my idea!

Here is my card:

I got some vellum and used a splatter stamp and heat embossed it with copper embossing powder. I then die cut the vellum with this butterfly. I love how this turned out.

I am going to enter this into:

CAS on Sunday-butterflies
CAS Mix Up Card Challenge-my choice is vellum and embossing.

Have a fun day x

A new toy and Inspiration found!

Hi All,

For my Birthday my very dear friend Nonni gave me a new impression plate that I had admired her using many times. I love the texture it gives. I wanted to use it in making a cream on cream card and the other day had a hunt around blog land for some inspiration.

Didn't take long for me to find some.

Here is my card:

Isn't that texture amazing. To me it could be the material ruffles on a dress or perhaps cream or ice cream on a cake...what do you see?

I based the lay out of my card on the sketch this week at CAS(E) this Sketch.

I then saw Rahmat's card on Happy Little Stampers blog where we are asked to CASE the Designer. I liked the embossing on vellum of the flowers and leaves but decided for my flower to use coloured vellum. For the leaves I used clear vellum and then copics to colour. I actually used platinum embossing powder. I made my card more CAS than Rahmat's but wanted to give a nod to her grey circles so used one in the centre of my flower and then some pink ones to add a few more-it was fun Rahmat to CASE your fab card, thanks for the inspiration.

All the stamps and sentiment I have used here come from the Doodled Flower set at Happy Little Stampers

I will also add this to:

Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media Challenge-texture-a CAS mixed media but has all the elements needed for mixed media and I am excited I got to enter a mixed media challenge for a change!

AAA Blog Hop winners

Hi All

It is time for us to announce the 2nd Birthday blog hop winners at AAA cards. Pop o over there to see if you are a winner.

On my blog I asked you all what was your favourite city and why. I loved all your answers but I opted to choose:

Indy Owens to win the £10 gift voucher from Uniko because her favourite city is 'Bosie'. I chose Indy as basically out of all 73 comments this was the only city I had not heard off (sorry Indy). I had to look it up and now know it is in the state of Idaho. We all like to learn something so Indy is my winner.

Indy if you pop over to AAA cards you will see how you claim your prize.

I hope you all enjoyed our Blog Hop...lots of prizes to be won so hop on over the the blog and see if you are a winner x

Purple with a touch of glitter!

Hi All,

I am back with the card I told you yesterday I was hoping to finish for the 'purple' challenge at Less is More. I have used the same stamp and just added some glitter touches, although hard to see in this photo:

This time I stamped the hummingbird and then added some clear embossing powder for a shine. Then some WOS for more shine. For a touch more glitter a gold strip and enamel dots. Lots of glitter and shine but still nice and CAS. That vellum strip is from my stash-luckily the sentiment stamped in purple.

I think I like this card more than yesterday's here..what about you?

I am trying to keep up with cards on instragram but think next week I will be back hitting your blogs.....beware I am on the way! Perhaps I shouldn't speak to quickly but you will know when I am back to myself as I will be stalking you all.

Have a fun day x

Hi All,

Yesterday I got around to some crafting. I had to join in the 'purple' challenge at Less is More.

Here is my card:

I heat embossed this Hummingbird with copper embossing powder then did some purple water colouring. The sentiment is stamped with delicata gold ink.

I am also in the middle of making another purple card using the same stamp. I hope I get it finished in time to play again.

I am still not so well and apologise for not visiting your blogs but promise I will soon.

Have a great day x

AAA cards-water colour #66

Hi All,

We have a fun challenge for you at AAA cards. This time we would like to 'Clean and Simple' water colouring.

Here is my card:

All I have done here is die cut this butterfly out of some water colour card that I had previously used. It had been heat embossed in white then I had water coloured. It was one of those times you have what you think is a good idea but it turns out all wrong! But I didn't throw it away and am pleased I didn't as I really like how it looks die cut.

This challenge is sponsored by Happy Little Stampers with a $20 gift voucher up for grabs!

Picture

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Tracey. Her blog In My Creative Opinion is a joy to visit and full of inspiring projects.

Take a look here to see what Tracey and our DT have created for you.

I will enter this into the 'CAS' challenge at CASology-happy 200th challenge!

I will also enter this into CAS Mix UP Challenge-my choice is water colouring and heat embossing.

Enjoy!
