Bless This House!

 Hi All

A quick card today for a few challenges:

I used stamps from STAMPlorations-stamped a row in yellow. Then heat embossed one house on previosly sponged paper, fussy cut it and popped it up on the edge of my row of houses.

I decided to add the sentiment in the centre as it just didn't look CAS enough with it on the front.

Have a good day x

Easter!

 HI All

I haven't crafted much for a while but yesterday I saw the photo at The Card Concept and loved the colours of the butterfly and how it seems to dominate the photo-I took this as my inspiration to make this Easter card:

I had been looking through Pinterest for ideas for Easter cards and saw this card from Sue and had a light bulb moment! Thanks for the inspiration Sue x

I stamped the image from Visible Images and then die cut the cross from Verve from this image. (Verve is sadly no longer open).

I then cut another cross from purple fun foam and used this to layer up the cross for dimension. I had added foam pads to the yellow base so there is quite a lot of dimension here but think it is needed to show the cross properly.

This is quite a different Easter card but I think still shows the wonder of Easter with a touch of the arty feel!

Have a good day x

For the The Card Concept-I would say my card is Clean and Layered.

I will also enter it into Day of the Month Card Club-Butterfly Day-Happy 2nd Birthday

Time Out #183 Reminder

 Hi All

Here to remind you that there is still time to join in the challenge at Time Out.

In both of these cards I have used the Ornamental stencil from our amazing sponsor Funky Fossil Designs. I also used the paste that you can purchase at Funky Fossil- light textured paste

So why is this different as it looks very much like a CAS card??

Well when I made this back in October I did make it for this challenge as I wanted to try something I hadn't before-using paste with a shaped stencil.

Goodness I found it quite easy with this paste. I just left it to dry over night and then the next morning I fussy cut it out and made these cards. Also quite different for me to use twine and fussy cut but it has been seen before but not the paste.

As I write this I realise I may be making more cards with paste-who knows-but I assure you when these were made, this was really different for me!! (nope I haven't done it again!!)

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Lisa. Lisa plays often at Time Out and we are honoured she joined us for this challenge-you can check out what she made on last weeks post-she tried a new technique and wow what is great. Plus pop on over to her blog here and she what a delight her cards are!

Check out what the Design Team have made here and then get crafting!

Enjoy!

CASology #386 Long

 Hi All

Time for a new challenge at CASology and today our cue word is:

Here is my take:

I did immediately think of slimline cards as they seem to be the what is 'in' at the moment but I have not caught the bug for this.
So had a long think and suddenly remembered I had a sentiment with the word 'long' in it-so went with that!
The sentiment is from Visible Image

We have an amazing Guest Designer for this challenge-Kuni-her cards are a delight, go on over to her blog and have a look, you will love what you see!

Our Design Team are all worth a visit and some love-here they are;

Enjoy!

Time Out #183

 Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Time Out-and a bug thank you for all of you who helped celebrate our 7th Birthday!

This time we challenge you to be:

And here is what I made:

O.K I know you are all thinking....why is this different for Sandie???....it is a very Sandie CAS card!!
Well I looked at 'different' in the terms of what I really can't do and that is play the guitar!
I had lessons when I was young and well I was really bad...so this is my 'different'

This challenge is sponsored by the wonderful Funky Fossil Designs and I have used the stamp set Guitar Hero

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Lisa who we often see playing along with us and every card is a delight to see. Take a pop on over to her blog here and she how very creative she is!
Welcome Lisa!

Now time to see what the rest of the Design Team have made....how 'Different' have they been?
Take a look here
Then get crafty and enjoy!

CASology #385 Luck

 Hi All

Time for a new challenge at CASology and this week our cue word is:

And here is my take:

You maybe thinking...what has this got to do with 'Luck'???

I don't really send out 'good luck' cards, I like to send more 'empowerment' cards is someone needs 'good luck'. I was unsure what to do so looked up what animals represented 'Luck'. And in India the Elephant is a sign of luck, it is seen as a positive omen which stems from it's status symbol in the country. The Elephant is seen as a bringer of wealth and fortune!
So I used my gorgeous Erin Lee Creative Indian stamp set for my card.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Shelley-her blog is a delight to visit, pop on over there!

So what is your take on our cue word?

Our Design Team are all worth a visit and some love-here they are;
