Season's Greetings!

Hi All

Another card based on the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch.

As the weather turns duller her it is becoming harder to take a photo to show how glittery the gold delicata ink looks. I got the idea to use this colouring when I saw the photo at CAS-ual Fridays Challenge-the wood grain has a gold glitter to it-well it looked like that to me!

Avery Elle  stamp set used.

A one layer stamp and go card-my fav to make and this one I could make a few-if I ever get around to crafting more!

Have a good day x

Scary Flashes!

Hi All

Yesterday I finally got to make a card. Only took about 5 mins but relieved some stress and it was my fav kind of card to make....one layer, CAS and plain old ink and stamps!

I had this sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays in mind for the 'Scary' challenge at CASology. As I said yesterday, I have no Halloween images so had to look at the challenge another way. I was helped along by this by DT member Anna with this card. I wasn't sure how she linked her card to scary but after reading her post, it made me realise-there are many ways to interpret this.

So I went here with getting scared about approaching or going through that dreaded menopause and all those hot flushes! A scary process!! I remember it well and am glad to say it is all behind me! I chose these colours as you feel like you must look 'red hot' when they come but no.....you look a cool yellow!!

So my scary is 'getting older'. Embrace it really but it can be scary.

The layout is from CAS(E) this Sketch-it was DT member Jen's take here that inspired me to use these striped stamps from Avery Elle

Enjoy your day x

Time Out #121

Hi All

Before I tell you about our new challenge at Time Out, I want to apologise for not visiting your blogs much recently-you know I love to come around and support you as much as I can. But at the moment there is a lot of stressful situations I am dealing with IRL! I am trying to visit IG and say hello there and hopefully will soon be back showing you all the support you deserve!

Time for another challenge at Time Out.
This time we are asking you to be 'Inspired by Word'

Here is my card:

and these are the words that inspired this:

You can use any of these words or the whole phrase.
I went with the whole phrase as my dear friend, Nonni and teamie at Time Out, has recently moved to a new flat. You are always a little scared and apprehensive about moving somewhere new but in the end, you overcome this and are usually really grateful you took that step and have a new cosy new home!

The die cut here is from Poppy Stamps and was a pressie from my lovely teamie here at Time Out, Joyce-thank you Joyce, I love it. The die is simply topped onto some Autumn inspired water coloured card

This challenge is sponsored by the wonderful STAMPlorations.

Who have some great prizes on offer-check them out and our Design Team's cards over at Time Out.

Can't wait to see what these words inspire you to make.

Enjoy!

I will enter this into:

CAS on Friday-Fall or Halloween-Fall inspired colours.
CASology-Scary-I don't have any Halloween or scary images but thought this was a different take on this challenge-I have a few other ideas of things that make us scared and am really hoping I get to craft sometime soon!

Love!

Hi All

Super quick post as lots to do this week.

I made this card inspired by a few challenges:

I love pinks and greys together so used the Inspiration challenge at CAS-ual Fridays  as my starting point. I stamped this 'love' stamp from CAS-ual Fridays and coloured in some of the flowers in grey.

The layout comes from CAS(E) THIS Sketch. I used 3 score lines to make my card super CAS.

Added a few grey enamel dots and done!

Have a good week.

Sparkle!

Hi All

Popping in with another early morning make!

Another one layer Christmas card ready to post abroad!

I loved the photo at The Card Concept (Happy 100th Challenge x) as soon as I saw it. The pink and gold just jumped out at me and I decided I would make a Christmas card from these colours. You know I love my non traditional colours! Happy 100th Challenge.  I went with the CAS style....as if I would go for an other!

I looked around for a sketch and thanks to Freshly Made Sketches I found one. As soon as I saw the sketch the stamp set I have used here by Visible Image came to mind immediately.

I used delicata gold ink which is great for making one layer cards if you don't want to emboss-it gives a lovely shine.

This gold also allows my card to fit into Paru's Card Making Challenge-A touch of Gold

Have a great day x

Hi Sistahs,

I am here with our monthly Calling All Sistahs Encouragement challenge from CAS-ual Fridays. Our little bunch of Sistahs are all about raising awareness for Breast Cancer and would love you to join our monthly challenge.

This month we are changing things and having a sketch instead of a photo and colours.

I am not so good with sketches but gave it a go and came up with this card:

I have used the stamp set Word Ribbon and the tags are Tag Buddies Fri-Dies. Both from CAS-ual Fridays

And our sketch:

Here is how you play along:

1. Make a card that will brighten someone's day inspired by the sketch.

2. Link up here by 12am EST on the 13th of June
3. Share with your friends and followers so we can get the word out about our challenge.

One person will win a $25 gift code to use on anything in the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps store.  All products are welcome, but if you use CAS-ual Fridays stamps or dies on your card, Michele will DOUBLE your prize!!!

My fellow Sistahs have all made amazing cards-check them out here and then get inky!

Hi There Sistahs,

Her I have used the CAS-ual Friday Ruffled Ribbon Die. I die cut it on grey card and used the negative die to pop over my base pink patterned card.

The sentiment is from the set CAS-ual Friday 'Mon Ami'

All our Design Team have made amazing cards-check them out here.

Best Dad Ever....STOP!

Hi All

A quick card for you today.
Well I say 'quick' but it took 4 days to come up with this idea! It may look simple but trying to mask that sentiment took so many try outs. Plus then coming up with a design took me ages.
So...not so quick but I was pleased with the end result!

This is for the 'Punctuation' challenge at CASology. I thought this was such a creative cue word and wanted to play. However I have no stamps or dies that suited it. Then one morning I remembered this sentiment stamp from Avery Elle-where the punctuation 'full stop' is a word not a sign!. I knew then this was what I wanted to use...but how???

A few days later this card was made!

I was just pleased I had thought of this idea. It was a huge challenge!

This is obviously for my Dad-who is the best Dad ever-always there for me through thick and thin-I love you Dad x

Peace on Earth!

Hi All

Happy weekend to everyone.

My card for today:

The lay out is from the latest sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch

I really like this sketch and was going to go for a flower card until I saw this card by blogging friend Pia. As soon as I saw Pia's card it gave me the idea to use my reindeer die for this sketch-thanks Pia for the inspiration! The reindeer is cut from glitter fun foam and IRL really does sparkle!

I was also going to go more whites until I saw the photo at Inspired by. I love all the warm colours in it and the wood grain. So went with this.

The snowflake has been stamped and is from my fav snowflake set this year-Let It Snow-Happy Little Stampers.

As well as the challenges mentioned I will enter it into:

Enjoy your weekend

Love!

Hi All

My card today for a few challenges:

The lay out was inspired by Rebecca's amazing card. Check it out here or below.

I went with dies all the way this time using the 'love' die from Winnie and Walter. This was cut from card that was already water coloured and had some gold spray added to it. I just added dimension using white fun foam.

The hearts are from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps-the second one and the tiny little one, I have added dimension by using that fun foam again!

I used a cream card to place these hearts on as they seemed to get lost on white card. Plus I do like to use white and cream together!

I will also enter this into:

AAA Card Challenge-inspired by a TV Show. This time I used a more modern show-Love-on Netflix, we just finished the last series and are hoping it comes back soon!

Enjoy your day x

CASE at Less is More

Hi All,

Popping in with a CASE of Rebecca's card at Less is More.

I loved Rebecca's card and come up with my take on this:

Here is Rebecca's card:

Keeping the same layout but using a stamped image instead of the die. But using the die for a sentiment. Here I have used fun foam in a reddish colour and used black card behind it to give a slight shadow.

The die is from STAMPlorations.
