Inkspirational #203

Hi All

I hope you all had a fab holiday and are ready now to do some crafting as we have a great photo for you at Inkspirational

This is my last card for Inkspirational as I am standing down from the DT. I have been on this team for many years now but decided that it was time to move on.
It has been a joy working with the fun team and Marina has been a super team leader.
Next year I will be playing along with you all!!

Here is my card:

This photo is a little dark but I wanted to be able for you to see the white embossed clock on the cream card.

Here is the photo that inspired this:

I was insipred by the clocks, the sliver strip you see at the top of the photo in the background. Plus the black colours really popped out at me!

This was actually made a while ago as it went to my cousin Lynn for her Birthday in November. We both love using cream and white on cards-so Lynn this was where this idea came from....especially for you! And I know you love a good old party!

All stamps are from Clearly Besotted Stamps

All the Design Team have made super cards-take a look here and then get inky!

Enjoy!

Happy Hanukkah!

Happy Hanukkah!

Today is the Jewish Festival of Hanukkah. This starts tonight and is celebrated to 8 nights.

I made these cards for a few of my Jewish Card Making Friends-this year I have been trying to send cards to my crafty friends for their main Festivals rather than Christmas.

The colours of Hanukkah are blue and silver (a much lighter blue really!)

Learn more about this Festival here

Here are 2 of the cards I made:

I used the stamp set Chanukah and the die is from STAMPlorations.

I simply silver embossed the stamps onto the dies. Popped them up and added some enamel dots.

Happy Hanukkah

Enjoy x

Time Out #151

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Time Out

It is our inspired by words challenge-you can see the quote we have chosen on the badge below. You can use any of the words or the whole quote to inspire you.

I went for what the whole quote summed up for me!

I used fun foam to cut the cloud dies so IRL there is a lot of dimension here!

We have the wonderfully creative Helen joining us for this challenge. I love her cards-she inspires all the time. Check out her blog here and you will see why! Her card today is outstanding. Pop on over to Time Out and you will see what amazing cards there are to inspire you!

Enjoy!

Rejoice in the Season!

Hi All

A quick make today-just a few cards left now....nearly there!

Here I used a set from CrafTangles that I won when I did the Diwali hop-thank you guys!

I simply stamped the light bulbs off the edge and coloured with copics adding some WOS for some sparkle!
Used the Uniko sentiment-keeping my design all along the edge for the challenge at AAA Cards.
I coloured some gems in the same colour of the bulbs-all to fit in with the colours at Color Thrown-I know my 'hot pink' looks red but IRL it is a pink promarker used and hot pink card!

Have a fun weekend x

I will enter this into:

Colour Throwdown-lime green, hot pink and white

Stencils and Colouring!!

Hi All

2 posts in one day!
Not often done but this morning I felt tired and really felt like having a go at some stencils and that lead to some colouring too!

I made this, inspired by the challenges below:

The star stencil and Angel stamp and sentiment are both from Funky Fossil Designs

I was inspired by the photo at Inspired By-Pink Christmas-I used the stars and gold from one of the wrapping papers and the coloured in pink and green from the photo and added it to the deep green base to match the Christmas Tree.

CASology-Faith-easy to get the connection here!

Have a fun day x

The Most Wonderful Time Of the Year!

Hi All

A Christmas make for you today-not too many more! All cards for abroad made so should get off in time-some already gone!

Here one for this country-you can tell as it is not one layer!

I used a wonderful Christmas set from Uniko.
The sentiment was stamped in delicata ink but didn't come up so well so I thought I would touch it up with a gold gel pen but that also didn't quite do the trick! But IRL it does show up well and sparkles but looks not so good in this photo! But I still liked it!

The picture at Inspired By gave me the idea of making a baby pink card using a touch of gold-love it when you see a photo and idea just pops into your head!

I took the layout from the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches-love, love this sketch!

Also entering the Christmas Uniko challenge

Have a fun day x
