Sending Smiles!

Hi All

Sending you all smiles today!

Based on the sketch for CAS(E) this Sketch
And the colours at Color Throwdown

I have used the fishtail tags from My Favorite Things-we won't talk about how long it took me to get the layers in an order and colour combo I liked!

I can't remember where the 'smile' die is from...it was in my stash!

Have a fun day x

Golden Florals

Hi All

The 'Shades of Gold' challenge at CASual Fridays caught my eye this week.
I especially loved Ishani's card here and she inspired me to have a play-thank you Ishani!

I was a bit stuck on a layout but The Fusion Card Challenge sketch helped me out here:

I know, not CAS!!

A lot of gold embossing here but it was fun to do. And I can't remember the last time I embossed on vellum. The dies are cut from vellum and some old stash gold card.

All products here are from CAS-ual Fridays except the stitched die which is from STAMPlorations

Have a great week!

Time Out Challenge #122 Reminder

Hi All

Here to remind you that there is still time to join in our challenge at Time Out-check out our new look whilst you are there!

Inspired by the wreath above the bed in our photo for this challenge:

This is one of my fav Christmas stamps and last year only got used a few times. This year I wanted to use it again and was inspired to use it by Karen when I saw her card here. She was explaining how using a sentiment in a different way changes the whole look of the card. I hadn't used the sentiment tag on this wreath before so gave it a go and just like that I got to use this stamp again but in a new design! Thanks Karen for the inspiration.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is one of my favourite designer's, Mugdha. Her creativity blooms with every card she makes. I am so pleased she is joining us for our challenge. Take a look around her blog Craftomania-you will love what you see!

Pop over to Time Out and see what amazing cards Mugdha and the DT have for us this week.

Then take some Time Out with us and craft-Enjoy x

Glitter and Metallic Trees!

Hi All

First up my glitter trees-die cut from glitter card and a dotted embossing folder. The rolling hills is also a die from My Favourite Things

The layout is based on the sketch at CAS(E) this sketch-which I will enter (see sketch at the bottom of this post.
I will also enter CAS Mix Up Challenge-Embossing folder, stamping and your choice-my choice is die cutting

I had another go at this same design but this time used no embossing folder but geometric designed mirror card (photo taken from above as so hard to get the light right at the moment!

This I will enter into:

Guest Designer at CASology

Hi All

I am very excited to be the Guest Designer at one of my favourite challenges- CASology this week.

Here is my card for their cue word.

The cue word is:

I was going to go with wine glasses and this set of stamps and dies from My Favorite Things was hunted down. When I was looking through the sentiments on this set, I changed my mind as I hadn't used this sentiment before, so decided to go with a glass bottle instead.

I used a lot of texture here to add more interest to the card. The bottle top and side strip are real cork and one of the enamel dots is wooden. Adding heat embossing also adds texture-the sentiment is heat embossed.

I stamped the sentiment on the bottle label-I found one small enough to fit-from STAMPlorations

Thank you CASology for the honour of being your Guest Designer-pop over to their blog to see what the amazing DT have made to inspire you.

Have a great day x

I will enter this into:

Reindeer Fun 2!

Hi All

I carried on playing my 'Reindeer fun' and made a couple more cards inspired by the photo at Inspired by.

This time I didn't go CAS and even used designer paper to represent the poms poms and picked out their colours too.

Here is one version:

And another version using a different coloured card base and designer paper:

Sorry such a shadow on these photo....but sunlight is not so kind at this time of year!

The dies I have used are from STAMPlorations and the reindeer stamp is from a set my friend Gerrina gave me a few years ago and I can't remember where it id from...but still one of my fav Xmas stamps-thanks Gerrina.

Thanks Inspired by Challenge for all the fun I had making these cards!

Have a good week x

Reindeer fun!

Hi All

I have been having a little Reindeer fun inspired by a few challenges.

Here is my card:

First off it was the photo at Inspired by challenge that caught my attention. I was going to go 'white on white' but then decided to go with the teal colour of the poms poms. I decided this after I saw the 'metallic' challenge at Less is More. DT member Nonni had used mirror card on one of her cards here and it gave me the idea to do the same. I finally found the mirror card I had and just loved the teal colour and decided it worked well with the photo.
So my white reindeer was now die cut with teal! I don't have any pom poms but went with pink metallic dots to represent these.

The layout is from this week's CAS(E) this sketch

Have a good Sunday x

Time Out #122 and our New Look Time Out!

Hi All

At Time Out, we are very excited to be launching a New Look! We love it and hope you do too. Pop on over and have a look and pick up some of our new badges!

I wanted to make a card to not only fit our challenge but also to celebrate our New Look-check out how close the font here is to our own!

Inspired by our photo.

I didn't go Christmas but went with the shape on the cushions which is almost the same as the dies I have used from STAMPlorations. Popping each die up with foam pads to give the card plenty of dimension. Being inspired also by the grey of the cushions and throw plus the bright shiny lights!

Doesn't the 'Be Bright' font look so much like our challenge font....I couldn't resist using it and in purple to match....so I got to celebrate our new look by being inspired by our photo!
Thanks to Cornelia for this stamp set she gave me when we met in London in September.

This card went to by amazing Sister who does brighten every room she walks into....just needs to be reminded of it sometimes!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is one of my favourite designer's, Mugdha. Her creativity blooms with every card she makes. I am so pleased she is joining us for our challenge. Take a look around her blog Craftomania-you will love what you see!

Check out what Mughda and the Design Team have made at our 'New Look, Time Out'!!

Inkspirational #173

Hi All.

Time for our photo challenge at Inkspirational.

I went a bit arty here and do love how it turned out:

And the photo that inspired this:

I used the colours and the flowers as inspiration.
The flower dies are from Concord and 9th and the sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers.

I water coloured a large piece of card using the colours in the photo. Then using this card I die cut the flowers curling the edges to add dimension. I then used just one edge of this card to layer the flowers on.

Our wonderful DT have come up with some amazing cards-check them out here and then get inky!

Enjoy!
