Bright days with Fusion!

I am here with my fortnightly Fusion fix. This time I was inspired by both the photo and the sketch.
The colours from the photo attracted me immediately and the CAS sketch I had to play with-just switching around.

I was tempted to add more to this but decided I like it just as it is-hope you do too.

Have a fun weekend.

Guest Designing at 'The Challenge' #36

Hello All,

This week is my last week designing at The Challenge. I would like to thank Lesley for inviting me for the month of May. I have had a lot of fun and hope you have too.

This week it is our 'Theme' week and we are:

'Celebrating Teachers'

I found this a tough challenge as here in England we don't give teachers cards-well not when I was at school or when I was a teacher (yes, I really did teach!!). However after some thinking I came up with a card that I thought could be given to a teacher but also one that I could send to a friend.

Now it is your turn to join in but first take a peek at what the DT have created to inspire you.

I will enter this into the 'die cuts' challenge at Happy Little Stamper May CAS challenge and the 'for the guys' challenge at AAA cards

Rahmat's Card Making Corner

Last week I got an email from Rahmat asking if I would like to feature today in her Card Making Corner. I was very honoured and said yes immediately.

This is a bi-monthly segment on her blog, Cards and Cooking Corner

Rahmat sent me a list of questions so that she would learn more about me and my creative world (plus a few other things!)

You can check this segment out here and while you are there have a look around Rahmat's blog-you will see she is one talented crafter.

Here is one of Rahmat's card to give you an idea of her creativity:

Thank you Rahmat for this honour x

Addicted to Stamps and More #145

Hi All

At Addicted to Stamps and More we have our photo challenge and here is the photo:

I immediately focused on the purple birds and had a hunt through my stamps and here is what I created:

The bird and bubble stamps are from Fresh Squeezed Stamps which no longer exist, a real shame. I thought the birds looked like they were having a little chat so I teamed them up with sentiments from Winnie and Walter

This week we are sponsored by Diane's digital designs and Rosie Hearts-check out what you could win here.

Once more our fabulous DT have created a feast of inspiration for you-take a look here.

I will enter this card into the 'Birds' challenge at Addicted to CAS

Looking forward to seeing what our photo inspires you to make.
Have fun.

Thank You All

Hello my blogging friends,

No card from me today. Just a very big Thank you to all of you that joined in my surprise Linky Party organised by my KylieSarah and Sarah. I was over whelmed by this surprise and all the cards and crafty goodies I received from around the world. I even got a phone call from Kylie all the way from Australia singing Happy Birthday (we won't talk abut her singing voice!)

I spent the day in London and was treated to a matinee theatre trip by Hubby. I got him  to take this photo for you all as I am hoping it reminds you of London and yes the sun was shining. This is me trying my hardest not to look 49 and be a rock chick!

Thank you again-you sure made me feel special xx

All the DT made flower themed cards for Bev's Birthday-she will hopefully have them all by now.

Here is the card I made for Bev

I used the stamp set Gerbera and did quite a bit of masking to get this look. I sure hope Bev liked it.

Time Out #31

Time to take TIME OUT and join in our 'Theme' challenge at Time Out Challenges.
Our theme this week is one of my favourites:

Grunge with the optional twist of embossing.

Here is what I came up with using the embossing twist:

Stamplorations are sponsoring us this week so I have used their stamps. The sentiment is from the Bold Sentiments-Hello and the grunge strip is from the Celebrate Artsy set-I have heat embossed this. The sentiment is fussy cut and popped up on a foam pad.

I gave this card to my hubby as a few weeks ago as he ran a half marathon for charity and beat his personal best time by 5 mins. He was over the moon and I was so proud. He loved this card and it is still proudly displayed on our mantle piece!

We are joined today by a fabulous and very creative Guest Designer, Ksenija. Her blog, sweet kobylkin, is a joy to visit. Take a peek and you will come back inspired to create!

Check out what out DT have created to inspire you to join us-here-plus you will see what Stamplorations goodies you could win!

I will enter this card into the 'embossing' challenge at Just Us Girls and the Anything Goes at STAMPlorations

Have fun x

Hello Again Fusion!

How is your week going?

I am here with my card for Fusion and shock, horror, this week I have be inspired by the photo and the sketch! I do love grey and yellow so knew these would be pert my card:

I got the idea of white embossing a text stamp on to yellow card. This, then sat on my craft desk for a few days while I decided what to do it! I eventually created my card by using some of this embossed card to die cut butterflies and followed the sketch. I really like the look of the white embossing on yellow and IRL it looks more lemon but this seemed quite hard to capture when photographed.

I am going to enter this into the 'embossing' challenge at Just Us Girls and the 'die cuts/punches' challenge at Happy Little Stampers CAS challenge

Guest Designing at 'The Challenge' #34

Hi All,

Today I am Guest Designing again at 'The Challenge'. I am so happy to be Guest Designing for such an amazing team.

Today we have this colour challenge for you:

I immediately thought flowers but I have scheduled a few flower posts later in the week and some actually using these colours, so I decided to go with leaves. I inked up these baby leaves from Clearly Besotted Stamps in the three colours.

I like the crisp look of this card and we all need some one layer cards we can pop in the post for our far away buddies!

I hope you can join in the fun at The Challenge

I will enter this into the 'stamps and leaves' challenge at STAMPlorations-the sentiment 'celebrate' is from STAMPlorations

Enjoy!

Inkspirational #82

Hi All

Our challenge this week at Inkspirational has been chosen by our very own team mate Shauna.  Shauna has challenged us to use at least 3 of the following when creating our cards:

Distressing
Flowers
Embossing
Pearls.

Here is what I came up with:

I have gone with:
Distressing the edges of my centre card stock have been cut with a distressing tool and then sponged with distress ink

Embossing-I have used my linen embossing folder on the centre card stock

Flowers-this was the hardest part of this card as I knew I wanted to make this for my Uncle. I decided to hunt through my stamps until I found a flower I could use that didn't make the card feminine in any way. I think I made this challenge more challenging than it needed to be but I was not going to give up on my idea! Eventually I found a grunge washi tape stamp by STAMPlorations that has flowers amongst leaves and text-I did it!

Now it is your turn. I am looking forward to seeing what you create.

 Have fun x

Time Out Challenges Reminder.

Have you played in our 'Home Sweet Home' challenge at Time Out Challenges?

Here is my reminder card:

Inspired by our photo this week:

I found some patterned paper that reminded me of the wall and thought I would have a go at making a card using this. As many of you know I am not a DSP girl and really do like to just stamp. I went the DSP route after reading the little foot note at AAA cards which suggests you try something different. As I already knew I wanted to use this paper for my reminder card, this foot note gave me the little push I needed to step completely out of my comfort zone. No stamping in any way-patterned paper, die cuts and vellum. I think although all this is included I still kept to my CAS style-we learn every day! And you know what I really enjoyed making it and actually love the look of it!

This week our Guest Designer Joyce has joined us again with an amazing card. Check it out here where you can also see what the DT have created to inspire you.

Time to take some TIME OUT and craft!

I will enter this into the 'My card has a hole in it' challenge at AAA cards-I have a negative oval die cut (NBUS) and lots of holes in my 'Hello' die cut!

I am entering this into the 'die cut' challenge at Happy Little Stampers

I will also enter the 'layers and dimensions' challenge at Virginia's view Challenge-very different to my last entry!
