You Rock!

Hi All

I have a card for you today inspired by the colours at Colour Q-melon mambo, grey and pink pirouette-fitting colours for Breast awareness month.

I started off by stamping these stripes in the 2 colours and then die cutting the bubble. After I did this, I then stamped the sentiment. Layered up some more die cut bubbles to give the dimension. I added a few sequins and enamel dots in the right colours and although I don't have melon mambo ink but do have the SU card stock.

I will also enter this into the 'geometric' challenge at Uniko and 'Think Pink' at AEIHeartuChallenge

Have a fun day x

Home Again!

Hello my blogging friends,

My holiday was wonderful, sun and more sun. The total relaxation I was looking for. I may not have been commenting on your cards as I usually do but am slowly getting back into action.

I am doing Deepti's water colouring class here and was just about to jump into the next lesson when I saw the prompt word at CASology-Line-an idea immediately popped into my head. I knew the stamps I wanted to use and here is what I came up with:

The heart and sentiment stamps are both from Paper Smooches. I just added my own life line with a red pen and ruler. I then had to use a couple of my fav crafting tools-linen embossing plate and the corner chomper...crafting fix done!!

I am also going to enter this into the 'chevron' challenge at Addicted to CAS and the colour challenge at Uniko-black and white with a splash of colour.

Uniko June Challenge

Hi All

It is time for our June Challenge at Uniko Studio and this month our theme is:

Anything Goes with the optional twist of a masculine card.

I went for the twist as this card is for one special man in my life. I made a card using my favourite Uniko stamp Paradise Humming Bird. You have seen me use this many times but there are still many different ways I could use this.

I started here by embossing the stamp and then used the water colour masking fluid on the stamp so I could create a sky water colour look around the image. This took a while to dry. I then water coloured the bird in yellow. This was left over night to flatten under boxes.

For this challenge we are joined by 2 amazing Guest Designers, Anita and Melissa. Both are so very creative and I would take some time out to visit their blogs.

Anita, Melissa and the DT have all made some amazing cards to inspire us-you can check them out here. Where you will also see all the ways you can win Uniko goodies!

Hi There

At Uniko we have a new challenge starting today. The theme is:

Flowers

It is a very special challenge as we are celebrating Bev's Birthday-it was yesterday!

All the DT made flower themed cards for Bev's Birthday-she will hopefully have them all by now.

Here is the card I made for Bev

I used the stamp set Gerbera and did quite a bit of masking to get this look. I sure hope Bev liked it.

For this challenge our Guest Designers are the very talented Carol and Jane. Thier lgs are well worth a visit and they have made us some wonderful flower cards today.

We would love you all to join in our challenge and we have some goodies for you to win:

The winner chosen by the DT will get a  £20 gift vouchers

The top 3 chosen by the DT will get £5 gift vouchers

Random winner using Uniko Stamps will get a  £10 gift voucher

All the DT have made some fabulous cards-check them out here and then get stamping!

I am adding this card to the colour challenge at The Challenge. I am the feratured designer their but thought this would remind you that there is still time to enter-the colour combo is yellow, orange and green.

I will also enter this into the 'Focus on Flowers' challenge at The City Crafter Challenge

Uniko Challenge #20

Hello

We have a new challenge today at Uniko and this time our theme is:

Things with Wings

I have used my all time favourite Uniko stamp set Paradise-Hummingbird. I simply stamped this in delicata silver ink. IRL it looks like it has been silver embossed however it was hard to capture this:

I just think this stamp is a stunner and needs little more than simple stamping to make it shine.

For this challenge we are very excited to have 2 very inspiring Guest Designers, Elaine and Michelle joining us-they have both created fabulous cards for this challenge.

Remember with this challenge you can use any stamp sets you want, it doesn't have to be a Uniko stamp.

As always we have some prizes for you:

-The DT will choose a winner who will get a £20 Gift Voucher for Uniko Studios plus be invited to be a Guest Designer for our next challenge.

-Our DT will also choose a top 3 and all will get  £5 gift voucher.

-If you do use a Uniko stamp we will do a random selected prize to win a £10 gift voucher.
Guest Designers are still welcome to join in on the current challenge too.

Time to get stamping. You have until Friday May 1st 8am GMT to link up.

All the DT have made projects to inspire you. Pop over here to see these and then join in the fun x

Uniko Challenge #19

A very Happy Friday to all!

It is time for our new challenge at Uniko Studio and this time we are making it nice and easy for you as it is:

'Anything Goes'

We do have an optional twist for you-use this sketch if you want.

I do love this CAS sketch but decided to not twist along this week and made this:

I have used the new stamp set Balloon Bash and Simple Said Birthday to create this. Fellow teamie Nicki used a two tone stamping technique on her card here. I loved how realistic Nicki's card was so took a look at the video she recommended by Jennifer McGuire here. I had a go at this technique and loved it! (thanks Nicki for the tip!)

We are very happy to have joining us for this challenge these fabulous Guest Designers:

There blogs are full of inspiring projects. Take a few minutes to browse around their blogs and then take a look here to see what they and the rest of the DT have created for us.

We are joined for this challenge by a newest design team member Sarah. If you missed yesterday's welcome post then take a look and then visit her creative and inspiring cards on her blog Funky Fossil Designs.

Remember you can use any stamps to join in this challenge and here are the ways you can win some goodies:

-a random draw for a £10 Uniko gift voucher if you use the optional sketch

-the DT will choose a winner who will get a £20 gift voucher

-the DT will choose a top 3 and all will get a £5 gift voucher

Now that is a lot of inspiration to join in and you can let your creativity bloom as the challenge is:

Anything Goes!

Uniko Studio Challenge #17

A very Happy Friday,

It is time for our Jan challenge at Uniko Studio and we have the theme of

Love and Friendship

Perfect theme for this time of year. Here is my take on this theme:

I have used the Peace on Earth Uniko stamp set. The doves are actually heat embossed in turquoise. I loved how this looked on the grey card stock. I used Wink of Stella to add some sparkle.

For this challenge we are lucky to be joined by the following Guest Designers:

I urge you to have a browse around their blogs. They are 3 very talented crafters and we are honoured that they are joining us.

This challenge will run for 2 weeks until the 31st Jan. There are a few changes to our challenges this year and also lots of chances to win some Uniko products-check out the details here

Our Guest Designers and DT have some amazing inspiration for you. Take a look here then get crafting and join in the fun x

I have used this month's sketch at Happy Little Stampers to design this card.

And I am also going to enter this into the challenge at Fusion using the grey background behind of the photo and the hearts-perfect for an Anniversary card.
