Fusion-Something Blue

Hello  All

We have a new challenge for you at Fusion

You can use the sketch, photo or combine the two-see our graphic below.

This week I really liked the sweet flowers on the cake so used this as my starting point. Then I did a CAS version of the sketch using embossed lines as my panel. Quite unusual for me to combine both the sketch and the photo but I enjoyed making this and do like how it turned out:

Our Guest Designer for April is the very talented Cris Check out her Flickr account  here and you will love what you see!

Don't forget to pop over to our main blog here and see what the DT have created to inspire you. I am looking forward to what you create.

Time Out #57 Reminder

Hello,

You still have time to join our 'Inspired by Words' challenge at Time Out Challenges'

Our phrase is:

'May All your weeds be wild flowers'

You can use any of these words to inspire you or perhaps the whole phrase. You might want to go with flowers, wild, weeds or perhaps use the whole phrase looking at how the hard times don't get in the way of the beauty in your life.

You choose what this phrase makes you want to create.

We are sponsored for this challenge by Clearly Besotted Stamps

Clearly Besotted Stamps

The winner will get a £15 evoucher to spend in their store.

I went with flowers again. I wanted to use vellum for the whole card. Even this stitched die is vellum. I like how it turned out, although getting the vellum to stay in place was a bit fiddly!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Julia. Her blog, Der Kleine Klecks, is full of creative and inspiring projects. Take a look here and we are sure you will love what you see.

Your turn now to take some TIME OUT and join in the fun. Don't forget to pop over to Time Out Challenges and see what the DT and Julia have created to inspire you.

The Card Concept #56

Hi There,

We have a new challenge starting at  The Card Concept. Our photo is very pretty and I was inspired by by the pink flowers in the tea cup and the touches of gold in the photo.

I made this 'Clean and Simple' card:

Here is our photo:

I heat embossed this flower on vellum and then coloured it using copics. I felt the flower expressed the delicate look of the tea cup. The gold strip was added as a nod to the gold picture frame.

You can create a card in any style you want and you can check out these styles here

This month our Guest Designer is the very talented Becca. She will be creating mixed media cards for us. Becca's blog, The Damsel of Distress, will be known by many of you but if not, pop over there and you will be inspired.

Have fun!

AAA Cards #65 and 2nd Birthday and blog Hop!

Hi There,

Lots of fun happening here today. Not only is it my first time joining the Design Team at AAA cards but it is our 2nd Birthday.

We want to see lots of CAS Birthday cards for this challenge plus we have an amazing amount of sponsors with lots of ways to win-check out how at our blog here

I decided to make a very 'Sandie' card for my first card at AAA and used my fav colour and background stamp that my very good friend Nonni give and this bold sentiment from Winnie and Walter

  • My Treasure hunt word is somewhere in this post (it might be in bold and my fav colour!!)
My question is:

  • Which city do you love best and why?

Mine is London and I like it because 'you can never get bored of London'

If you leave a comment on my post and answer this question you could win a £10 gift voucher from UnikoI will choose my favourite answer.

Now time to blog hop. Hop to each DT member's blog, we all have prizes to be won:

Inkspirational #109

A very Happy Weekend to all,

Before I tell you about my post today I wanted to let you all know that I have not been visiting many of your blogs as much as I do normally and I am sorry for this. My health was poorly before my Birthday. I got away but not in the best health and have come home to not being so great. . I am trying to keep up with my DT comments. But rest assured as soon as I am more myself I will visit you all as normal. I do feel bad as you all threw me a party and your cards are amazing. I will return!

At Inkspirational this week we have our photo challenge for you. I was so inspired by this weeks photo-the graphic look and the amazing colours. Naturally I wanted to use purple and decided to mix it in with the turquoise. Also using the graphic lines from the photo. This is what I came up with:

Here is the photo:

The more I looked at my card, the more I realised it looked familiar to me. I looked through my pinterest board and realised I had subconsciously CASEd this card by Ardyth. So a huge thank you for the inspiration Arydth!

Our Design Team have all come up with amazing projects-take a look here and then get inky!

I will enter this into Addicted to Stamps and More-CAS

Hello there,

Are you ready to play along at Fusion?

This week I went along with the photo (no surprise there!)

I focused on the red and blue stripes. I don't have a misti so eye balled this and it came out pretty good. The sentiment is heat embossed

You can be inspired by either the sketch or the photo. Combine the 2 if you want-we love to see this.

Time Out #56 Reminder

Hi There,

Have you joined us at Time Out Challenges?

We are CASEing the super talented Kay Miller.

This week I used the same design as I did last week but decided how just by adding some texture how different the card can look.

I just dry embossed all the die cuts and used white and cream. I am not sure which card I like best-here is the one I made last week:

Which one do you like best?

And here is Kay's card that inspired me so very much:

The very talented Marlena is joining us again this week as our Guest Designer. Check out what Marlena and the DT have created to inspire you this week here

The Card Concept #55

Time for a new challenge at The Card Concept.

We have a bright and sunny photo for you today.

I was inspired by the yellow and black and just the fact the photo made me want to smile:

Here is our photo:

Originally I had made this card for this challenge but I am on the Clean and Simple DT and all these dots made this card not a 'true' CAS card so I CASEd myself and came up with this version. This version made my CAS loving heart happier! The orange'smile' is heart embossed and the rest of it is made with stitched dies.

Remember you can create you card in any style or combine styles.

This month our Guest Designer is the very talented Becca. She will be creating mixed media cards for us. Becca's blog, The Damsel of Distress, will be known by many of you but if not, pop over there and you will be inspired.

I will enter this into the CAS Mix Up Challenge-heat embossing (my sentiment), stamping and stitched die

Inkspirational #108

It is our colour challenge at Inkspirational for the next 2 weeks.

We want to see cards with:

'Mint and Navy'

This colour combo did stump me for quite a while. I do find colouring challenges hard. But after a while I came up with this:

Quite simple really when you get your CAS loving heart in gear! And yes, that is some masking I have done!! Although this combo was a challenge for me, I love this Spring card.

What will these colours inspire you to make?

Our Guest Designer is the very talented TaeEun. I love to visit her inspiring blog and urge you to have a look here and be inspired!

Our DT have all made fabulous cards. Take a look here then get inky!

Time Out Challenge #56

Hello All,

Time to take some TIME OUT and play along at our CASE challenge at Time Out.

For this challenge we have an amazing card for you to CASE by Kay Miller. Her blog My Joyful Moments is full of creative and inspiring cards. I urge you to visit it and I know you will come away ready to take some Time Out to get inky!

CASE means 'copy and share everything'. Basically have a look at Kay's card and see what it inspires you to make and get straight to it!

Here is my CASE:

I loved everything about Kay's card and have almost just repeated it! I stamped the splashes behind the frame. Cut flowers and leaf dies and just arranged them slightly differently. I liked the grey Kay used but decided to use more pinks and purples and to keep to just a touch of grey. This quite a different card for me-layers and dies, but I have to say I loved making it and really like how it turned out.

Here is Kay's card:

The very talented Marlena is our Guest Designer for this challenge. Marlena plays in nearly all our challenges and every entry is a delight to see. Her creativity is amazing. Take a look at her blog here and you will see what I mean!

O.K your turn now. Take some TIME OUT and get crafty!
