Happy Birthday AAA Cards!

Hi There

Today AAA Cards are celebrating their 3rd Birthday.

I was recently a DT member at AAA and they were kind enough to ask me to Guest Design for their Birthday. Thank you very much Jane for this honour and a very Happy Birthday!

Here is my card:

Here I used The Ton Bokeh Burst stamp again and a circle die cut so just the edges of the splatters show. I used delicata gold ink to give a lovely shimmer. I then used splash stamps over a card and cut a butterfly from this. The splash stamps and covered in WOS but it is hard to see the sparkle from the photo. A vellum butterfly die finishes the card off with a sentiment stamped with delcata ink.

This Birthday celebration has a lot of sponsors-check out the graphic here:

Then pop over to AAA and see how you can win.

Have fun x

I will enter this into:

Less is More-shimmer-my delicta gold ink, wos covered water stamps and the enamel dots (sparkle dots) add a lot of shimmer to my card!

The Card Concept-loving the pink and gold mix

A loud Awakening!

Hi There,

We all know what it is like-the alarm clock wakes us with from our slumber with it's loud shrill!

This is my take on the 'loud' challenge at CASology-using neon inks in my fav colour combo-just to make it an even louder awakening!

I followed the sketch at CAS Colours and Sketches.

The alarm clock stamp and die are from Clealy Besotted Stamps and the yellow dotted stamp is actually the washi stamp from Uniko

I will enter this into:

Uniko-Masuline-this is off to a guy-yes guys like purple too!

Have a fun Friday x

Time Out Challenges #84

Hi All

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out Challenges.

It is our 'Inspired by Words' challenge and our words are:

''Flowers and Friends make life a garden'

You can use any of these words or the whole phrase to inspire what you create.

I went with flowers and friend:

This challenge is sponsored by STAMPlorations and my sunflower stamp and 'amazing' die are both from their wonderful store.

I stamped and water coloured the sunflower in orange and yellow-I had a go at bending them! Just splattered some orange water colour paint around. Cut out the 'amazing' die using fun foam. I do love how sunny and bright this looks!

We are honoured to have Michele as our Guest Designer for this challenge. I know many of you will be aware of her blog I Card Everyone-this blog is one of my very own favourites. Michele is not only an amazing and creative designer but so fun and supportive-so pleased you joined us Michele.

Our DT have all made super cards-check them out here then take some TIME OUT and join in the fun. You have until Wed June 7th BST to play x

I will enter this into:

CASology-Loud-like Sherrie my colours get louder from the centre yellow flower to the very loud orange!!
Inspired by Little Things-this time going with the yellow and orange flowers
STAMPlorations-CAS card challenge-not going with twist

Hello Sunshine!

Hello All

Yesterday I had a little play with my Birthday kits from all my crafty friends and made this card for the 'warm' challenge at CASology.

The background is an embossed sunshine. The sun stitched die is cut from brushos. The sunshine sentiment is a negative die cut from brushos.

I had a lot of fun making this and and thank you again crafty friends for all these goodies that are really inspiring me.

Have a fun week x

Thank You!

Hi All

I wanted to Thank you for your wonderful cards that you sent me for my Birthday. My lounge is blooming with all your creativity. I was a very happy girl (well old lady!)-thank you so much.

Not only did I get cards but my very dear friend Nonni organised many of you to send me crafty kits full of the most wonderful goodies. I have 15 kits overflowing! There are so many I haven't even had time to look through them all. But a huge thank you, I have enough crafty goodies to enjoy for a long time.

And a very special thank you to Nonni for organising this xx

Here is one card I made yesterday using some goodies from these packs:

I followed the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch and was inspired by the gorgeous purple flowers in the photo at Inspired by Little Things

I also want to enter this into the new challenge at CAS-ual Fridays-this challenge is all about making an encouragement card-something we all need sometimes. I have used the colours and the flowers as inspiration.

Before I leave I wanted to give you all a smile with a look at the Birthday card my hubby gave me. He hunts card shops for CAS cards and I have to say this card really made me laugh-is this not the most CAS card you have ever seen? And I am definitely going it CASE it!

I have trained him well!

Have a good day x

All our DT have made amazing cards-check them out here and then have some fun and join in the fun!

Water colouring for Mum

Hi All,

Today I have a card for my Mum's Birthday that is in a few weeks.

I had some fun water colouring using an Altenew stamp and die set.

The photo and colours of the Altenew Challenge inspired me. I tried to follow the colours of the flowers in their photo even trying to blend the pinks so the edge was a slightly darker colour and the centre yellow.

I am quite pleased how it turned out:

I stamped and die cut the flowers before water colouring them. I stamped the leaves and just popped up the flowers when dry.

This water colouring was quite precise rather than the more arty look I usually do but it was fun to have a go. I think Mum will like the fresh look which I emphasised using the light green base.

I will enter this into:

Cupcake Inspirations-For Mum and using the pink flowers as inspiration
CAS-ual Fridays-Encouragement card-using the flowers as inspiration-my words would work well for an inspiration card as well as a Birthday card.

Enjoy your day x

Commencement 2!

Hi All

Another card today for the 'commencement' challenge at CASology.

I went again with the idea of the beginning, start of things and birth.

The Birth of Jesus being my beginning.

This time I went with the sketch at Fusion

I love this die from Penny Black which was a gift from the lovely Patti. I really like cutting this in white and kraft as I think this colour scheme represents the stable.

I had to think on how to place this sentiment to follow the sketch and decided on white embossing it on black.
The die is popped up for dimension.

I do love how this turned out.

Have a fun weekend.

Grunge and Glitter???

Hi There,

I don't normally post twice in a day and this was for tomorrow but I just saw Addicted to CAS  is closing soon (I thought I had another week!!)

Do grunge and glitter go? Yes, why not! And can you use it for a guy card-naturally!!

Well, I think you can and to me, it looks like this:

The background is just one stamp that was a pressie from the my dear friend Nonni. I just roughly inked it up in these colours. The birthday is glitter fun foam cut using a die from STAMPlorations

I went with the colours of the photo at Fusion-picking out the greens and yellows of the daffodils and the navy on the floor, table top, cushions and ceiling!

I followed the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch-it was DT member Jen's take on the sketch that I found so inspiring and the idea for my card popped into my head as soon as I saw Jen's card-thank you Jen x

I will also enter this into the 'grunge' challenge at Addicted to CAS

Commencement!

Hi There,

I have to admit that I didn't know that in America the ceremony for giving out diplomas etc was called a Commencement! So I decided to look up the other definitions for this word and decided to go with the 'start of something', 'the beginning' 'the birth'. And ping, I had a light bulb moment!

What better beginning is there than the birth of Jesus.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for my layout.

Super CAS using Winnie and Walter nativity stamp and a sentiment from Verve. I used the gold to draw the card together.

Must run!

Time Out #83

Time for a new challenge at Time Out Challenges

This week we have our CASE (Copy and Share everything) challenge.

I am super excited that the designer we are CASEing this time is Hannelie. She is one of my favourite designers in blogland and I have followed her blog here for a very long time. Every card she makes is an inspiration. I urge you to visit her blog and I guarantee you will be inspired. Here is my CASE:

And Hannelie's card:

Pretty easy to see how I was inspired!

I actually stamped the Bokeh Burst stamp from The Ton in gold to get the splatters. I then die cut a circle in the centre of this. I stamped and die cut the flower-from Altnew. I love that Hannelie kept her flower stamp white-perfect for me as I didn't need to colour! The background is an old brusho sheet from my stash. I like the way I mounted all this on black base leaving a strip of orange.

The sentiment is from Happy Little Stamper who are our sponsors for this challenge

I had a lot of fun making this-thanks for the inspiration Hannelie and over the moon you joined us.

Susanne is our Guest Designer for this challenge. Susanne's blog is a delight to visit. She is very creative and I love her CAS style. Pop over to her blog Keep in Touch Cards and you will come away inspired to create.

Our GD and Susanne have all CASEd Hanniele's card in their own way and they are all fabulous-take a look here.

Take some TIME OUT and get inky!

I will enter this into:

Altenew Inspiration Challenge-going with the flower and the texture of the water colour
