You are Terrific!

Hello All,

I hope your day is going well.

The other day I told you I water coloured a panel inspired by the photo and colours at Calling All Sistahs and that I had heat embossed some flowers on it, to use at some point.
Well when I saw the sketch at Less Is More, I had a light bulb moment and I used those flowers to create this:

All stamps and dies here are from CAS-ual Fridays Pretty Posies set. And the dies and sentiment are all cut from my water colour panel you can see here

I just stamped the one image off the side and build up the rest of the card using foam pads. The whole panel is on foam pads for even more dimension.

Well I have made use of that one water coloured panel!

I will enter this into:

Calling All Sistahs Encouragement Challenge-being inspired by both photo and colours
CAS on Friday-Dies, use a die cut on your card
CAS Mix It Up Challenge-September-again I used heat embossing as my choice

An little note to say!

Happy Friday my crafty friends,

My card today was inspired by both new challenge photo and the colours at Calling All Sistahs Encouragement Challenge. I used a general sentiment here as it is always good to have cards like this ready for when some one needs a little helping hand or touch of encouragement and love.

As soon as I saw the photo I thought water colouring would work really well with this. I had no ideas straight away so decided to just water colour a panel of card using the colour palette they gave us, to give an ombre look. I left this for a while so I could muse on ideas! (see the panel below). I then embossed and die cut some flowers and leaves from the CAS-ual Friday Pretty Posies set. I then used the CAS-ual Fridays Fri-Dies to cut a tag from my water colour panel and another tag from a piece of vellum with some autumn coloured felt running through it (thank you Jill for this vellum!)

It took me a while to come up with this design but I do love how it looks.

Here is my ombre water colour panel as it dries on a paper towel!

Have a fun Friday x

I will enter this into:

CAS Mix It Up Card Challenge-September-see my watercolour wash above and I used heat embossing as my choice and the stamping for the sentiment.

Time Out #92

Hi There,

Time for a new challenge at TIME OUT and today we are here to celebrate 'World Dot Day'. This is a day that celebrates creativity and we thought our 'Inspired by Words' challenge was a great way for us all to celebrate creativity. Our words are:

Paint The Flying Spirit Of The Birds Rather than its Feathers

Use any of these words to inspire you or the whole phrase.

And my card:

I am sure you can see I was inspired by the words 'feathers, flying and bird'.

I used the penny and black Hummingbird stamp and coloured it with promarkers. Used a stitched die and nuvo drops for some interest. The sentiment is from our fabulous sponsors for this challenge Happy Little Stampers. The winner of this challenge will get a $15 gift voucher.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the super talented Carol we are so pleased she is joining us. Her blog is full of inspiration for us all-check it out here

If you want to know more about 'World Dot Day' and to see more inspiration from Carol and the DT, check out our blog here

Happy Little Stamper CAS September Challenge

Hi All

Today a new monthly challenge starts at Happy Little Stampers. This month we are asking for 'Clean and Simple' cards that feature a silhouette.

Here is my take on this challenge:

The silhouette is from the Wish You Were Here stamp set from Happy Little Stamper.
I have heat embossed it on a tag I cut from some sponged card.

The winner of this challenge will get a $20 gift voucher for the Happy Little Stamper Store.

Time to get inky!

Going Square Again!

A very Happy Weekend my friends!

I seem to be on a creative roll the last few days and have made quite a lot of my future DT cards and a few for challenges. Best to make usel of the mojo while it is there as we know how easy it can go for a little rest!

Today I have another card for the 'square' challenge at CASology. This time I was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch. I really like how I used the leaf die here to mimic the image in the sketch.

I used the square embossed card again and this time paired it with this leaf die in the same colour card. The sentiment is heat embossed in vanilla cream.

Have a fun weekend.

Square Contrast!

Hello Crafty buddies,

My card today was inspired by the 'square' challenge at CASology.

To be honest I wasn't going to enter this challenge as I had no ideas at first! Then when I was hunting through my stash I came across this crream card embossed with squares. I have no idea where it came from but thought it would make a perfect base for this challenge.

This is what I created using the card and quite a few contrasts, which I will explain below...if you have time to read!

I made the card square using the square embossed card. Then I wanted to add contrast to this card so used a pretty butterfly as contrast to the geometric base....which to me looks quite masculine. I have always liked using cream and white together and for some more contrast I used black with these. And for even more contrast I used the circle against the square. I have no idea why this base wanted me to go down the contrast route but it kept telling me too! And I like the end result.

Have fun today x
