Hello fellow crafters,
I decided to play along again this week with the One Layer Wednesday challenge. This week it is one stamp, one ink and one sentiment. I really liked the stunning simplicity of Heather's card and decided to case it. I went for different colours and a different stamp but used the same masking technique she did.

Here I have used Mocha brown ink and a Hero Arts stamp.
I am also going to enter this into the 'Floral Fantasy' challenge at CAS on Sunday
Enjoy your Friday x
I love the masking and the crispness of the one layer card Sandie!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful - elegant - this would make a great set as a gift....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Sandie!! Sorry I haven't had time to answer your mail due to my friend who is still visiting, she is here until tomorrow evening. :) By the way, this flower would be perfect for your coloring exercises (you'll need Memento for stamping)! First color the whole flower with your lighter shade and then add darker marker to the places that are darker in the stamp -like the end of the petals -and then do the blending & shading thing. It'll look amazing, I promise! :) Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLove the tone on tone, Sandie!
ReplyDeleteFabulous flower card Sandy! Love your idea of placing the flower (not completely) in the square. I have pinned your card ;-)

Very cool design. Love that only partial image is shown - very creative! Loll xx
ReplyDeleteLovely to see the same idea with a different stamp and colour. I like the way the sentiment completes the square. I am going to study my stamps and see which other ones will work with this masking idea.
ReplyDeleteVery well done Sandie....I love one layer cards! Thanks for linking it up with us at CAS on Sunday!
ReplyDeleteVery eyecatching.
ReplyDeleteI find one layer cards so hard to do, but I will keep this design in mind - one color, one sentimen, one image - how simple and how elegant!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful one layer CAS card. I love the brown stamp.
