A very Happy March to you all,
My card today is my first go at using an inlaid die. I am late to the game here and have been meaning to give it a go for a while and now I have, so I am happy!
I need some more practise with this!
This card was inspired by this card here made by Leigh for this week's challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch. I loved how she slotted in different colours and it took me a while to work out how to do this. It meant cutting out a number of dies and a lot of fiddling but I got there in the end.
I had been thinking about making this card for a few days and then when I saw the photo at Just Us Girls with the big sentiment I decided I had to get down to it!
I am also going to enter this into the 'This makes me happy' challenge at Less is More as I am a bit happy with myself for conquering an inlaid die! I am hoping to get another chance to enter LIM with a 'stamp and go CAS card' as these are the ones that make my heart sing...quick easy, a stamp and some ink, we will see how the week goes!

ReplyDeleteI love inlaid dies too Sandie, sometimes the pieces you have to use to fill in the gaps are SO tiny, it's a race to fit them in beofre I lose them!

I've only tried this technique once, being late giving it a go myself. I also tend to forget I can use my dies for embossing. This looks great with the use of different colors, very springlike in style!
