Time Out #53

Hello All

At Time Out Challenges we have our 'Inspired by Words' challenge. We have a great quote this week:

'A woman is like a tea bag - you can't tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water' by Eleanor Roosevelt

I created this card:


I hope you can see the quote-it has been heat embossed with bronze embossing powder. I decided to just focus on the idea of the 'strength' of a woman and thought this quote said it all.

Our Guest Designer this week is the very talented Elaine Take a look at her inspiring blog Craft-E-Place. I have followed Elaine for a long time now and she is so very creative. Her blog is a joy to visit.

Then pop over to Time Out and see how are DT have been inspired by this quote and I hope this gives you plenty of ideas to join in.

This challenge is only for one week and closes next Wed 6th April 5pm GMT

That means you need to get crafty pretty quickly...but you need some TIME OUT!

I will enter this into the sketch challenge at Sovushka Slavia


Before I go I wanted to share with you a couple of photos of my trip to Finland to see Nonni.

    First of all, what a wonderful theme you have over TO! And your card is perfect take on the inspiration. No image needed when the sentiment is so powerful. Hopefully you had fun in Finland, so unfortunately Nonni moved so we didn't get to meet. But maybe some day in UK! I miss England so much, would love to come back one day.

    Is that snow in your Finland photos, Sandie???!!! Oh, boy, how I would love to be somewhere where it is snowing!!!! I have only once, in 2010, touched snow but it was just a little bit that fell low down on the Outeniqua mountains here in George!!!! Over here we have snow only on the highest mountain tops that can't be reached!!!! Any way - I'm sure you had a great time!!!!
    And your card is brilliant for the quote of the week, Sandie!!!! How wonderful to use another great quote and have it shine on your card!!!! Love the bronze embossing and how you have kept the card super CAS!!!! Really great!!!!
