Hi All
It has been a while since I made a card but the idea for this card has been in my head all week after seeing the latest 'Earth' challenge at CASology.
I really wanted to use this Globe image and sentiment and the 'Twilight' ink from Catherine Pooler.
A few other challenges gave me some extra ideas and the card came together finally!!
I cut out a die and stamped the image in this 'twilight' ink-I finally have found a grey ink I love-thanks Jenny for the tip on getting this ink!
I coloured in 3 flowers yellow and 3 grey with copics-even did some shading!!
Both if these so I could enter:
Less is More-3 of something
AAA Challenge-one plus 3 friends-my friends being-stamped image, copics and stitched die-oh and a matted layer-the top die is on foam pads!
I will also enter:
That's a very pretty globe and your gentle colours really make it shine. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards, hope to see you joining in with future challenges too.
ReplyDeleteLove that wonderful color scheme of the neutrals plus yellow. And the globe made of flowers...perfect for our Earth cue word. Thanks so much for playing along at CASology this week.
ReplyDeleteWonderful card Sandie, wonderful colours and I do like the image xx

ReplyDeleteWonderful card! Love the layout and pretty globe! Thanks for joining us at CASology!
ReplyDeleteAwesome use of the globe stand! I love that you put flowers instead of the globe itself!
ReplyDeleteSoft and so lovely, Sandie ... the dreamy grey and buttery yellow are just beautiful together! Thanks for the tip about the ink ... one to add to my list! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteI think that yellow and gray has to be one of my favorite color combinations in the "whole world!" That Twilight ink is awesome, too. Might have to investigate that... I'm happy to see you, and happy to see this pretty card online. I think you've got a winner here, btw. Have a wonderful week. Bev
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card, Sandie. I love the way the flowers appear to be bursting forth in the globe. Spring is almost here and that's what I'm hoping will happen around here (if the snow can leave quickly enough). Beautiful use of limited colours. Love it. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful image, beautiful colors, wonderful layout! Another great CAS design, Sandie! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along with us again over at CASology!
It is such an elegant stamp! So different when you think of the worth earth! And love the shading (can we see more of that? You're doing it great!) Hope you have the energy and ideas to take some you-time to let your brain float! Hugs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the look you’ve created here. Fantastic globe die and stamps, looking great in grey.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful CAS card Sandie!
ReplyDeleteStunning design Sandie! The lemon pops so beautifully against the black card base and that stamp is just a bit lush, isn't it? Gorgeous work. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Less is More xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Sandie. I love the soft yellow and grey together, so pretty, and I love how it contrasts against the black too. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x
