WOW!

A very Happy Sunday,

I had a busy day yesterday out and about in London. Today I am resting and felt like doing some crafting this morning.

I got some new dies last week and thought I would cut out the splatter die and then have a hunt in blogland to see if any challenges inspired me.

I saw the sketch at retro sketches and this was my starting point. I created this, with my lay out based on the sketch:

I cut one splatter out of white card and just used gold embossing powder on the tip. Then cut the die again but this time in blue glitter card.

Enjoy the rest of your day x

This was a fun make and I will enter it into the following challenges.

World Card Making Day take 2!

As most of you know yesterday was card making day and I had a fun afternoon making cards. My hubby was working at home so it was the perfect time to craft.

Here is another card I made:

This was inspired by the colour challenge at Winnie and Walter. Heather set us the challenge to use aqua, mint, kraft and yellow. It was quite a tough one for me but I got there in the end. Plus I do love the result. I actually got a ping moment when I saw the latest sketch at Retro Sketches. I haven't played at Retro Sketches for a while so it was fun to get the inspiration this week.
I will also enter the 'CAS' challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More

Have a good day x

Create without Fear

It's not often I post twice in one day but the rest of the week is the new release at Uniko so I will be here everyday showing off some sneak peeks.

My card here was inspired by the 'shape' challenge at CASology. When I saw this cue card I was going to go along the geometric line but before I did I pulled out the dictionary and looked up 'shape' and there was the verb-'to shape' with the alternatives 'to mould' and 'to create' Why hadn't I thought of that-good old dictionary to the rescue!

With this in mind I came up with:

Before I made this I looked up a colour combo and came across the monochromatic crisp cantaloupe challenge at  Colour Me. I also based my layout on the sketch at retro sketches-this is a very CAS version however it was this sketch I had in mind when making this card.

I will also enter this into the following challenges:

STAMPlorations-anything goes-the sentiment is from STAMPlorations.

See you tomorrow.

Retro Celebrations!

Hello Again,

Yesterday I was inspired by the colour challenge at PinkFresh Studio and Winnie Walter challenge (insd)-neon pink, aqua and gold.

I have had a Winnie and Walter 'celebrate' die, I had cut out of gold glitter card, lying on my craft desk for a few days. I decided this would be perfect for this challenge.

I used the sketch this week at Retro Sketches for my layout-I have typically, for me, made a CAS version of this sketch!

I do like this colour combo and also the design. I can see me using both of these again.

I will enter this into the 'dies' challenge at Happy Little Stampers-CAS

Have a good day x

I will also add this to Winnie and Walter join to win.

TIME OUT Challenge #16

It is time for me for our CASE challenge with your own twist at TIME OUT Challenges. For this challenge we are very lucky to have the opportunity to CASE one of Heather's card. Heather's blog Bits and Pieces is full of creative and stunning cards and we have this gem to CASE today:

And here is my CASE using the colours, leaves and Autumn theme as inspiration and adding my own CAS twist:

I wanted to enter the One layer Simplicity Challenge-Turning to Fall. I thought falling leaves was perfect and got my lay out from the challenge at Retro Sketches this week-I have used sketch #126. The leaf stamps (Clearly Besotted) are just inked up in various colours. The sentiments are a mix from STAMPlorations.

This week our Guest Designer is the very creative and fun Carol. I just love Carol's cards and her blog Just Me:c is full of inspiring ideas and always fun to read. She is one of the most generous people in blogland always there to give an encouraging comment!

So what does Heather's card inspire you to make? If you need some more inspiration, check out the wonderful cards our DT have created here

Then kick back, take some TIME OUT and get inky!

I will also enter this into the following challenges:
Less is More-Autumn Bounty
STAMPlorations-anything goes
