It is the second challenge at Muse and this week we have one of Suzanne Dahlberg's funky and bright cards as our inspiration. You can check her card out here and also at the bottom of this post.
I almost didn't enter this week as, there was so much to take from the card, that I was a bit overwhelmed. However whilst thinking about it this week I kept coming back to the grey background with the arrows and the really bright pink colours and patterned paper. So this is what I took from the card and this is how my card turned out:
Originally the grey swirls were arrows but it just didn't look right to me so, arrows became grey stamped swirls! I die cut the butterflies in patterned paper and layered them. The little gem is actually grey! All white card has been linen embossed too give a subtle texture.
I decided to make this a Birthday card as I am running short on these-expect a few more in the next week or so!
I am also going to enter this into the 'Things with Wings' challenge at My Time to Craft.
And before I sign off, here is Suzanne's card:

Have a fun Friday night x
I love the combination of pink and gray and how you layered your butterflies is fabulous! Great CAS take on the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteSandie, so glad you stopped by my blog...I do look a bit out of place with the cards at Muse this week, I bet everyone wonders how my brain works, lol. I love your card, by focusing on what you did it really stands out. I am crazy for that linen embossing, I don't think that I have ever seen that before (need to check that out--it would look lovely on vintage cards.)Beautiful job on your card this week.
ReplyDeleteOooooo, very pretty! Love this, Sandie xx
