Inkspirational Photo Challenge.

Are you all ready for Valentine's day? Is your card in its envelope? If not perhaps our challenge today at Inkspirational will inspire you to get inky!

We have this photo to inspire you:

I was inspired by the burst of colours against the white background in this photo and using a freebie image from our sponsor Eclectic Anthology I made this small square card:

The white background I have embossed with a wood grain folder and inked the edges. The sentiment is from Verve-I popped this up to give a bit of dimension. I fussy cut a flower and a few leaves from the main image, from the sponsor freebie, to surround this. And finished my card with a touch of bakers twine to match the card stock.

Our DT  have some great projects here that I am sure will inspire you!

Happy Crafting x

  3. Love that sentiment, and the embossingfolder ;) You asked me about where I got the fishing net. Well, it's the real thing! At least according to Joanna Sheen (I found it in the "special offers" a while back). Bought it there, but I hope I find some old nets at the shore this summer. We have a cabin where my mom grew up, close to the Artic Cirle (appr. 1000 km from where I live). I feel at the "JS net" is waaaaay to coarse... I want some net with finer treads. The masks have beautiful size, but the treads... no... My grandpa was a fisherman, and I remember he had some buoys of glas that kept the upper end of the fishingnet closer to surface. The net around these buoys was of the same type as the JS net. OMG, this was hard to explain!!! Google translate ain't always very helpful*lol* Sadly my grandpas pier was destroyd by some really stormy weather many years ago, there is nothing left. How I loved following him out in his fishingboat, setting the nets, or just cruising around just for fun. He once "threatned" me by saying; "Be a good girl, or I might take you to the UK!" And then he blinked to me and laughed loud :D Memories, memories :)

  7. Hi Sandie. Thank you for the reminder 'is your [Valentine's] card in its envelope?'Well no, it wasn't -I'd made it and put it to one side. Now just dug it out ready to write and put in the envelope!

Enough of me! What a pretty card this is and yes, a very good sentiment that so many of us can relate to. I love the way you've tucked the flower behind and the twine.
