Addicted to Stamps and More #108

Its time for our 'Holiday' challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More. You can create a project using any Holiday you want. I have opted for Christmas and did use a few other challenges to help inspire me to create this card:

This week at Addicted to Stamps and More we are being sponsored by Rick St.Dennis and we are lucky enough to have one of their DT joining us today-welcome Karen. There are some fab images in their store so please do visit them and take a look. As always our DT have come up with some wonderful projects to inspire you-take a look here.

Now for my inspiration-the picture at Festive Friday gave me the idea for the snowy wreath. I went with a one layer card so I could enter the 'Foliage OLC' challenge at Less is More and finally I was unsure about using a black sentiment but saw the 'Tic Tac Toe' challenge at CAS-ual Fridays and one of the lines is 'Black, White and Sequins'. This gave me the idea of tying in the black sentiment with one single black sequin-this seemed to balance it to my eye plus the sentiment is from CAS-ual Fridays so an added benefit!

This card came together really quickly thanks to all these pieces of inspiration fitting nicely together in my little brain! Isn't it great when this happens?

I hope you join us at Addicted to Stamps and More x

Time Out Reminder

Happy Friday Eve,

I am popping in today to remind you to check over at TIME OUT Challenges to see if you are one of our winners and also to remind you that our current challenge is still running until next Wednesday.

The theme is:

SUMMER is with optional twist of FLOWERS

And if you go for the twist you will be in for a chance of winning $25 gift voucher from out sponsors CAS-ual Fridays Stamps (chosen randomly)

This week I have a reminder card for you but I decided this week not to go with the twist and to use one of my favourite CAS-ual Fridays stamps sets Butterbows. I was inspired by 2 other challenges in creating this card. I actually made this card a week ago when these 2 challenges came out. I had a 'ping' moment! The challenges are Fusion and CAS(E) this Sketch. Here is what I came up with:

In Summer we get a lot of thunder storms but the rainbows that follow are worth it. The photo at Fusion was the first thing to inspire this, the little row of bright flowers. And then I saw the sketch and it just all came together. Isn't it a joy when crafting works like this!
I hope you note that I couldn't get all the colours of the rainbow in to fit in with the sketch so used the sentiment for the last colour.

I hope you come and play along with us at TIME OUT Challenges and if you include flowers remember you can win $25 from CAS-ual Fridays

And my inspiration:

Inkspirational #58

Happy Saturday my friends and it is time for our new challenge at Inkspirational.
This week I got to choose the challenge and as you know I am a CAS lover so that is what I am challenging you all to create:

A Clean and Simple project.

Here is what I came up with:

I had a lot of fun making this as I got to play along with some goodies that I received for my Birthday from my lovely blogging friends Virginia and Kim. This was my first go at stamping on canvas and I love how it looks. I frayed the edges and cut it into a ribbon shape. And it was also my first use of Snap stickers. Such fun playing around with the colours and patterns until I was happy with the results.
AND please note.....no enamel dots, gems or sequins!!!

This week we are so lucky that Sue is joining us as our GDT. I have for a long time admired Sue's elegant style and you urge you check out her blog Sue's Card Craft. You can see what she and the rest of the team have created this week here.

I am going to enter this card into:

Curtain Call- Something Simple

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge-Guy card with ribbon
              Simon Wednesday Challenge Blog

And to finish off with I have a photo to share of 3 of Inkspirational DT meeting in London IRL.

From the left-Nonni from Finland, me and then Marina. Both Marina and myself are Londoners.
If you didn't already know Nonni stayed with me for a week and we had a ball!!

What a great theme for this time of year. Your project can be any style as long as you use some kind of stamping and we some flowers!

Here is my card for this month using STAMPlorartons eclectic florals and our soon to be released sentiment builders

This card was actually inspired by a card I got in the post from Anita at My Paper Craft World-see her card below. I loved Anita's design and she very kindly agreed I could CASE it for my DT card this month-thank you Anita x

This month our Guest Designer is the very talented Sue and to see what she has created for us check out our blog here. This is also where you will see what all the DT have made to inspire you to play along.

Need a little more motivation? How about some prizes?

The winner will get to choose 2 clear stamps set from our shop here and will be asked to be our Guest Designer for a future monthly challenge.

If you take part in all 3 challenges at STAMPlorations in May you will be entered into the random draw for this prize:

http://www.pinterest.com/pin/141581982007064903/

I will also enter this into the 'three thirds' challenge at CAS-ual Fridays as I have used 3 flowers, 3 enamel dots.

Plus One Layer Simplicity Challenge is having a 'Fabulous Flowers' month, so this card is entering there!

Here is Anita's card: that inspired me.

Lets Celebrate!

Over at Time Out challenges we are announcing our winners of all those lovely goodies from Uniko Studios. Just pop on over to our site here to see if you are a winner!

I wanted to make another card for our current challenge here which is to CASE the fab card Virginia made for us (see her card at the bottom of my post). I challenged myself to make a more CAS version this week but keeping to Virginia's lay out and this is what I came up with:

This was made by masking off the strip and then using 2 different circle stamps from Uniko Studios to make my pattern, masking each one as I went-took some time but I liked the effect.

I came up with this by hunting around blog land. I found 2 photos that inspired me to create this card.
First off this photo from Just Us Girls inspired my use of yellow and green and patterns.

And then this photo from Crazy for CAS inspired my use the black and white stripes and circles.

I will also enter this into the 'three thirds' challenge at CAS-ual Fridays as I have used 3 stars and 3 colours.

I hope my card has inspired you to take some TIME OUT and play along at TIME OUT

Addicted to CAS

The lovely Sylvia is our hostess this week for our challenge at Addicted to CAS and she has chosen the following code word:

We are sponsored this week by STAMPlorations and I love their stamps and wanted to use them in my card. I was discussing the code word in secret with my crafting friend Nonni and I loved her suggestion of a colour wheel. However I was stuck of how to use this but I had a 'ping' moment when looking at images of colour wheels. I decided to make a flower colour wheel using one single leaf from the Eclectic Florals set from STAMPlorations. This is what I came up with:

As I don't have all the inks needed for the colour wheel I mixed up inks to get the colours. The top flower I covered with glossy accents for some shine.I thought the sentiment fitted my card perfectly.

Our team have some great cards to inspire you, take a look here. This challenge the super talented  Karen has joined us and here card I am sure will inspire you!

I am going to enter this into the 'lucky' challenge at CASology as I am sending this to a very special someone that I feel lucky and blessed to have in my life.

I will also enter it into the 'ovals' challenge at CAS-ual Fridays as my leaf I used to make up the flower id oval shaped.

Have a happy, stamping weekend x

Let it Snow

Happy Monday my friends,

Today I have a card for you that was inspired by a number of challenges. I had one of those light bulb moments when browsing challenges to get my mojo back in gear. I actually was inspired to make a couple of cards all based on challenges I came across. Today I will share one with you and the other one later in the week.

Here is my first card:

This card was inspired by the following challenges:
CAS(E) this Sketch-I based my layout on this week sketch-actually this is where the inspiration started!
Curtain Call-Casual Christmas-all my stamps are CAS-ual Friday Stamps
CAS on Sunday-Winter theme
Festive Friday -snowflakes in the design
CAS-ual Fridays-use 8-I used 8 snowflakes including the one in the sentiment.

Isn't it fab when it all comes together! x

CAS(E) this Sketch for CAS-ual Fridays!

Happy Friday Eve my crafting friends,

Today I am sharing a card with you that I made for the challenge this week at CAS(E) this Sketch and the 'in stitches' challenge at CAS-ual Fridays.

I decided to make a small 4" by 4" card and used my Weather Through stamp set from Fresh Squeezed Stamps.

(hover over the image and click on the pin to save to pinterest)

I have had this embossed die cut cloud in my stash for nearly a year, so was very happy to finally put it to good use.

Have a fun day x

Happy Hols to me!

 Hello my crafting friends,

This is my last post before I fly away to Cyprus tomorrow. I have some pre-scheduled posts for my design teams, so I won't be completely absent from blogland!

Today my card is for CAS-ual Fridays 'Fall Colours and a Leaf' challenge.

My card was inspired by this card that Loll posted last week. I loved her idea of embossing a leaf with gold. I have used the same stamp set from Clearly Besotted Stamps that I used yesterday but this time I also used the die. I blended Autumn coloured inks onto my card stock then die cut the leaf. I then stamped and heat embossed in gold. The leaf is just stunning on its own and a CAS design was the way I had to go with it. I just scored a few lines then spritz the card with gold shimmer ink to give the splatter look. This card was so hard to photograph in this dull English weather! Here are 2 shots that hopefully give you some idea.

O.K my blogging friends I am off to pack!

Take care and see you soon x

Tech Talk!

Today I have been playing with a new stamp set that my cousin Lynn gave me as a pressie when she recently came to visit me here in London. Lynn is one of the fab DT Girl Fridays for Cas-ual Friday Stamps and this tech talk stamp set from Cas-ual Fridays is one Lynn knew I wanted. What a lovely surprise for me!!

So today I have had fun playing with this to make this card:

I had been wanting to make a card for the challenge this week at OLW, to be inspired by pinterest-like we really need another excuse to spend hours on pinterest!! And yesterday I was browsing for some inspiration to make a 'new home' card and came across this picture:

Computer Keyboard Welcome Doormat
This got me thinking about my new stamp set and then today I saw the colours of this weeks Cas-ual Fridays challenge-orange, aqua and green-and decided to use my orange and blue heat embossing powders for this CAS one layer card. I went with a 'oops I'm sorry' card as I expect we all need these at some point. And as hubby is a techy I thought I would keep this in my stash for him!!

I made a second version of this card with a smiley face from a Fresh Squeezed Stamp set. I think I like the first one best....what about you??

I am also going to enter this into the 'new stamps' challenge at Alphabet Challenges

Do come back tomorrow to see my next card using the tech talk set and enjoy the rest of your Friday x
