Love!

Hello All,

I am starting the week with LOVE!

Here is my card inspired by a few challenges:

This was inspired by:

The Curtain Call-something girly. I picked up on the gold, black and pinks in the photo and all us girls love hearts!
Sunday Stamps-I used their sketch as my layout. DT member Teresa's card  really inspired me.
Paper Players-CAS Valentine
CASology-open-my heart die is open, I am sure we all have open hearts!

Inspired by Many!

Hello my friends,

I have been making cards for my family over the last week and I had just one more to do. I got the idea for this after browsing some challenges. This card is off to my Uncle and Aunt. Very CAS but was inspired by quite a few challenges.

The sentiments are from Winnie and Walter and CAS-ual Fridays
The circles are from STAMPlorations-holiday artsy

I was inspired by the following challenges:

Less is More-black, metallic and one other-mine is the silver/grey ink. I stamped the 'family' in gold delicata ink but decided it wasn't metallic enough so added some gold metallic dots.
AAA Cards-a touch of gold
Curtain Call-this is where I got the idea to add silver (the silver can in the picture jumped out at me) although I had to go for grey as I don't have any silver ink and didn't feel like embossing. (must find some-any ideas?)
STAMPlorations-January challenge-Stamps and Ink. I will also enter this into their Anything Goes Challenge

Enjoy your day xx

Inkspirational #71

At Inkspirational this week we have our colour challenge. We want to see:

Gold with any other other colour

Perfect for this time of year and I used it as a chance to continue on with my Xmas cards.

A few weeks ago I used turquoise and gold on a card and loved how it looked so had another go to make this one layer card using the 'Peace on Earth' stamp set from Uniko Studios. Perfect for mailing and I love the gold embossing-quick and easy card but I think makes for a unique take on a Christmas card.

This week our Guest Designer is Deborah. She is a very creative designer and her blog Deborah's Gems really is full of inspiring gems!

I decided to make a few more of these cards with different coloured bases for my sister and a girlfriend. I am hoping to make another one of these for my neighbours-3 guys-I thought grey with silver or navy blue with silver-watch this space!

I will enter my first card into:

House of Cards-photo challenge-see below-I went with the blue colour and the leaves (yes this card stock is blue)
Curtain Call-clearly Christmas
STAMPlorations-Dec challenge-a previous challenge-I am going for Stamps and Embossing

Our DT have made some fabulous gold cards for you, feast your eyes on them here.

Have fun!

Inkspirational #68

This week at Inkspirational we have this photo to inspire you:

There is so much to inspire you here. The obvious is owls but I am not a fan so spent some time thinking of a different angle. Eventually I came up with the idea of using wool or some kind of material. Then when I saw the challenge at Curtain Call and Festive Friday and I went with twine! Plus the lay out came from the latest sketch at STAMPlorations And this is what I came up with:

A negative die cut with lots and lots of strings of twine stuck to the base card. It doesn't take as long as you think and I was happy to be finally using my Xmas twine which has been in my stash for nearly a year. I thought this little sentiment was perfect for this design (STAMPlorations Holiday Artsy set)

Maura is our Guest Designer this week and you can find her here on Splitcoast Stampers. Her cards are always very creative and we are pleased to have her joining us this week.

You can see a wonderful collection of cards from the DT here and then have a good look at our photo and get creating!

I will enter this into the following challenges:

Curtain Call-just getting in there on time although I made this card when the challenge came out!-burlap banner-see photo below

Festive Friday-one single bauble and lots of twine around gorgeous presents!

And our team leader at Inkspiratonal's challenge, Marina's Christmas card challenge-anything goes

Inkspirational #58

Happy Saturday my friends and it is time for our new challenge at Inkspirational.
This week I got to choose the challenge and as you know I am a CAS lover so that is what I am challenging you all to create:

A Clean and Simple project.

Here is what I came up with:

I had a lot of fun making this as I got to play along with some goodies that I received for my Birthday from my lovely blogging friends Virginia and Kim. This was my first go at stamping on canvas and I love how it looks. I frayed the edges and cut it into a ribbon shape. And it was also my first use of Snap stickers. Such fun playing around with the colours and patterns until I was happy with the results.
AND please note.....no enamel dots, gems or sequins!!!

This week we are so lucky that Sue is joining us as our GDT. I have for a long time admired Sue's elegant style and you urge you check out her blog Sue's Card Craft. You can see what she and the rest of the team have created this week here.

I am going to enter this card into:

Curtain Call- Something Simple

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge-Guy card with ribbon
              Simon Wednesday Challenge Blog

And to finish off with I have a photo to share of 3 of Inkspirational DT meeting in London IRL.

From the left-Nonni from Finland, me and then Marina. Both Marina and myself are Londoners.
If you didn't already know Nonni stayed with me for a week and we had a ball!!

This week our Guest Designer is the very talented Bobby of Bits and Pieces Designs. You can see what she and the rest of our DT have created to inspire you here.

Addicted to Stamps and More #79

It is time for our CAS challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More. This means we want to see paper crafting projects that are Clean and Simple. This week we are joined by the very creative Karen who you will also see on our Wall of Fame. Check out Karen's blog here, I am sure you will like what you see!

And here is my CAS card:

I was unsure of what to do for this challenge and thought I would have a browse through some challenges and then came across this photo at Inspired By

The red heart against the white gave me an idea and off I went to create! I heat embossed the text and heart stamp then fussy cut a red heart out and stuck it in the centre of the embossed text. Then die cut another heart and raised this on foam pads. A few different embellishments and curved edges to finish off!

We are sponsored this week by Deedee digis, check out their fab store here

Our DT have, as always, made some wonderfully creative CAS projects so before you go please pop to Addicted to Stamps and More to see these!

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:
KIS-text
Curtain Call-love letter
Inspired By-see photo above

Happy Stamping x

Let it Snow

Happy Monday my friends,

Today I have a card for you that was inspired by a number of challenges. I had one of those light bulb moments when browsing challenges to get my mojo back in gear. I actually was inspired to make a couple of cards all based on challenges I came across. Today I will share one with you and the other one later in the week.

Here is my first card:

This card was inspired by the following challenges:
CAS(E) this Sketch-I based my layout on this week sketch-actually this is where the inspiration started!
Curtain Call-Casual Christmas-all my stamps are CAS-ual Friday Stamps
CAS on Sunday-Winter theme
Festive Friday -snowflakes in the design
CAS-ual Fridays-use 8-I used 8 snowflakes including the one in the sentiment.

Isn't it fab when it all comes together! x

CASology #60

Today is a very special day for me as I am the Guest Designer for CASology. I nearly fell off my chair when I saw that I was the weekly CASology winner with this card and later that day I was doing a happy, happy dance when I got an email from Melissa, the CASology coordinator, asking me if I wanted to be the Guest Designer for this week. I have a badge to prove it!!

I didn't hesitate in saying 'Yes Please'. When I had calmed down I then had a little panic when she sent me the code word for this week.......Apple!

I immediately thought.....eek I have no Apple stamps. Then decided I didn't actually need an apple stamp as this is just the code word and you can create anything that comes to mind when you think about 'apple'. I went with the idea of an Apple Mac computer. After all, these days, what else could we think???
I was lucky in that hubby has recently got a new fancy Apple Mac computer for producing music and along came with it some transfers of the logo. So I decided to use this to create my Apple card.

(hover over the image and click on the pin to save to pinterest)

I hope you appreciate my pun! It took me ages to come up with it. I combined lots of different sentiments until I opted for this one. I found it amusing (I hope it is not just me!!)
I again took my scissors to the 'tech talk' stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays to come up with the computer UR. And then heat embossed the 'delicious'. The black panel is popped up on foam pads to give dimension although it is hard to see it from the photo.

So what does the word 'Apple' make you think about? The DT at CASology have come up with some great projects. Take a look here to be inspired.

And a big thank you to Melissa and the team for choosing me as the winner last week and asking me to me the Guest Designer this week x

I am slo going to enter this into the 'back to school challenge' at Curtain Call. I have been following this challenge since it re-started recently and this is the first time I have had chance to join in the fun!

Here is the inspiration photo:
